Katy Perry & Zedd’s “365” Sounds Like A Massive Hit!

The wait is over! Rumors have been swirling about Katy Perry and Zedd’s pop-saving collaboration for months now. It all started when the “Happy Now” hitmaker hopped on WITNESS: The Tour in late 2018. However, those rumors picked up speed last month after the duo registered a track called “365” with Universal Music Publishing Group. Since then, anticipation has been sky-high to hear what they cooked up in the studio. Today (February 14), it is finally out! And it sounds like a potentially massive hit. Boasting an addictive production and sugary sweet lyrics, the single is perfectly tailored for a Valentine’s Day release.

“Waking up next to you in the middle of the week. Never needed anyone to send me off to sleep. And I know I said go slow, but I can’t hold back no more,” Katy sings. She falls even deeper in love on the chorus. “Are you gonna be the one that’s on my mind? 365, all the time? I want you to be the one to stay. You give me the night and day.” That sentiment takes on a different connotation in the accompanying video, which plays with concepts of love and obsession. In the Warren Fu-directed release, the “Bon Appetit” diva is an android who develops feelings for the very-human Zedd. There are some twists and turns, all of which build up to a heartbreaking ending. Basically, it is essential viewing.

Zedd opened up how the song came about in a press release. “Katy and I have known each other for a while now and while on tour together in Australia last summer, we started working on some music,” he explained. “After we got off tour and with our musical value systems even more aligned we continued working together and that’s when ‘365’ started to take shape. As it all came together, we knew we had something special.” Katy echoed his message. “I was really excited for Zedd to join my WITNESS: The Tour last year, and in our down time, we started vibing on music, which led to this special song.” Check it out below!

Iggy Azalea & Zedd’s “Boom Boom” Finally Arrives Via ‘Pitch Perfect 3’

After more twists and turns than a telenovela, Iggy Azalea and Zedd’s “Boom Boom” finally hits iTunes today (December 15) via Pitch Perfect 3. The banger was originally slated for the Baywatch soundtrack, but was mysteriously pulled at the last minute. It subsequently leaked online and was overhauled for Digital Distortion — only the rapper’s album was scrapped and, months later, the song somehow ended up on Just Dance 2018. So, was it worth the (very long) wait?

I’m going to answer in the affirmative. Iggy’s verses are complete nonsense (“baby, come and hear the pitta-patta, kiss my — hey! — back-scratcher”), but the production is wild and the chorus packs a punch. “I got that boom boom, baby bring the bass,” the “Team” hitmaker shouts over an avalanche of beats courtesy of D.R.U.G.S. & Zedd. “I got that boom boom, all up in your face.” It’s very catchy and destined to find a lot of love at gyms, sporting events and pep rallies. Check out Iggy’s lost hit below.

Zedd, Liam Payne Drop Guerilla-Style Video For ‘Get Low’

Zedd and Liam Payne take their hit single “Get Low” to the streets of London for the official music video for their collabo track. The pair are joined by a small troupe of dancers as they surprise fans with pop-up performances in the guerilla style clip that dropped on Tuesday (Sept. 19).

Zedd and Payne were as much of an attraction to passerby as their chosen locations, with Trafalgar Square, Oxford Street, and Convent Garden setting the scene for the infectious dance number. In more candid shots, the troupe can be seen teaching the dance to the growing crowd, letting them join in on the fun.

The track cuts away a few times towards the end to the crowd shout-singing along to the chorus as they walk down the street behind the performers. If you didn’t want to get up and get low with this summer jam before, you’ll want to hop on the Zedd-Payne parade by the end of the four minute video.

Watch it below, and catch Zedd on his Echo Tour in North America this fall. Find the full list of tour dates and purchase tickets here.

Selena Gomez’s Ex-Fling Zedd Reveals What «Pissed» Him Off When They Were Dating

Zedd got a taste of the dark side of fame when he briefly dated Selena Gomez in 2015.

The 27-year-old record producer is featured in the latest issue of Billboard magazine, and opens up for the first time about his relationship with the 25-year-old singer, admitting that it wasn’t easy to be with someone who was so in the public eye. «Reporters were calling my parents. People were hacking my friends’ phones,» he recalls. «I was pissed.»

Zedd adds that he did half expected something like that would happen when he started dating Gomez. «I kind of knew what I was getting myself into,” he confesses. “She is one of the most talked about people in the world, but I had no idea how much that would change my life.”

Billboard notes that Zedd would not confirm if he was dating anyone at the moment, though Gomez has confirmed that she’s dating The Weeknd.

In July 2015, Gomez was asked about Diplo claiming that her brief relationship with Zedd was simply a publicity stunt to promote their song, «I Want You to Know.»

«First off, It’s very interesting that Diplo would think he knew about my personal life, but he doesn’t,» she responded. «I adore Anton [Zedd] a lot and I definitely had a thing with him, which was nice.»

Liam Payne Features On Zedd’s New Single “Get Low”

Zedd teams up with Liam Payne for new single, “Get Low.” The German DJ/producer unveiled the very-pink cover art on Instagram and revealed the song’s July 6 release date. He had previously spoken about the track with Brazilian pop culture blog Capricho, saying: “To be honest, we met a little while ago and we did a song, not knowing if it would be for him or me, we just wanted to make music together.” It turns out the song was for him, becoming the official follow-up to top 10 smash “Stay.”

As for Liam, he’s still in full promo mode for “Strip That Down.” After a slow start, the Quavo-featuring bop has gained momentum at radio and is a streaming hit on Spotify. Penned by Ed Sheeran, the track has also crept up the charts — reaching a new peak of 34 on the Billboard Hot 100. It should soar a lot higher by the end of the summer. “It was such an edgy, different song for me to do,” the 23-year-old tells Billboard of his solo debut. “With [that 1D lyric] in it as well, and the way that was written. It was quite an experience.”
