Rita Ora is gearing up to ride her latest anthem to the top of the charts. The Brit teamed up with Cardi BCharli XCX and Bebe Rexha to unveil their collaborative single “Girls,” and it is a distinctly fun and flirty bop. Released today (May 11), it fulfills a promise she first made in November of 2017. After months of anticipation, the “Anywhere” siren finally announced the release date last week. And she makes up for lost time with a treat that is all but guaranteed to be a contender for the title of Song Of The Summer. Unsurprisingly, the quartet have a breezy serving of pop perfection on their hands.

“Her name is Lara, we learned a lotta. How to do it, like we do it, like we wanna. We just know, we just know. I ain’t one sided. I’m open-minded,” Rita coos over a sugary production. Bebe and Charli trade off lines on the second verse, and they all find an easy chemistry on the instantly addictive chorus. “Sometimes I just wanna kiss girls, girls, girls,” the group sings in harmony. Possessing some of the most distinctive voices in pop, it is refreshing to hear them all blending so well. Cardi’s verse is equally fun and manages to reference both Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and Destiny’s Child’s “Say My Name.”

Boasting one of the year’s most joyful productions and the collective might of four pop powerhouses, “Girls” is all but guaranteed to enjoy a massive run on the charts. Everything Cardi touches turns to gold, and Bebe is soaring high after the meteoric success of “Meant To Be.”Given Rita and Charli’s popularity at home, they are all but guaranteed a future #1 in the UK. Keep an eye peeled for a video, which is sure to drop soon. Based on a teaser Rita posted on Twitter, it looks like a vibrant affair. Give the bop a spin below!

It’s actually happening! Rita Ora casually announced that she was releasing a new single called “Girls” way back in November, 2017. The song was supposed to drop in January and feature fellow pop queens Charli XCX and Bebe Rexha. The latter even hinted at a fourth collaborator when she retweeted the news with the comment: “And maybe someone else?” It only took six months, but we finally know that Cardi B is the fourth member of the Awesome Foursome. “Girls” also has an official release date.

“I’m so happy to finally announce my new single ‘GIRLS’ feat some amazing powerful women who have inspired me so much!” Rita announced on her social media accounts. “Out 11th May.” She also shared the cover art, which finds their names spelled out on a scrabble board. This has the potential to be a long-overdue US hit for Rita and Charli. Cardi has the midas touch right now and Bebe is hotter than ever thanks to the success “Meant To Be.” On the other hand, this is all but guaranteed to be a UK #1 hit thanks to Rita and Charli’s popularity at home.

Rita Ora Spreads Love On Her Poignant New Single “Proud”

Rita Ora has been soaring high on a string of pop confections lately, and she extends her winning record with her new offering, “Proud.” Released today (January 19), the single sees her team up with Absolut Vodka and their The Open Mic Project for an uplifting anthem. The 27-year-old was selected as the face of the project, which aims to spark conversations centered around experiences with acceptance.

Moved by messages of self-love and positivity she read on the website, Rita hit the studio to put her feelings to song. “I definitely got inspired by every single person’s story, and I tried to blend it together — the journey and the struggle of [getting] the win at the end,” she said in an interview with Billboard. The end result is a swelling track that is a love letter to herself as much as it is dedicated to her fans.

“Real me feeling so free. Scream it from the top of your lungs,” she joyfully proclaims on the opening lines. The “Anywhere” siren’s voice soars over a simple but sweet production. It builds underneath her as she prepares to unleash a heartfelt message to her fans on the chorus. “You make me proud, and I wanna tell the world about you now. You know it’s you that I love.”

The passionate single is not the first bop Rita has released in 2018. She already teamed up with Liam Payne on “For You” for the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack. The romantic single made its debut on the Billboard Hot 100, and it has the potential to grow into a massive hit. If she plays her cards right, Rita may end up with two singles on the charts this month. Give her inspiring song a spin below!

Rita Ora & Liam Payne Cozy Up For A Romantic Bop On “For You”

Rita Ora and Liam Payne have rolled out one of the first certifiable bops of 2018. The pair joined forces on “For You” for the soundtrack to Fifty Shades Freed. Considering that the franchise has spawned a handful of hit singles including Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik’s “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” the surprise collaboration was highly anticipated. Released today (January 5), the romantic banger is a fiery love song that exceeds expectations.

On the track, they soar to unexpected heights buoyed solely by the power of love. “In your eyes I’m alive. Inside you’re beautiful, something so unusual. In your eyes I know I’m home,” Rita declares over racing synths on the opening lines. The “Anywhere” siren steals the show with her impassioned delivery. However, she graciously shares the stage with Liam. “Skin to skin, breathe me in. Feeling your kiss on me. Lips are made of ecstasy. I’ll be yours for a thousand nights,” he vows.

Compared to Taylor and Zayn’s moody release, this is shaping up to be a bright spot on the soundtrack. If they play their cards right, Rita and Liam could have something massive on their hands. With the right music video and a handful of promotional performances, “For You” could easily climb the Billboard Hot 100 and become a breakaway hit.

While Rita is riding high on the back of three UK top 10 hits, she still hasn’t made a dent on the Billboard Hot 100. Liam got off to a good start with “Strip That Down,”which cracked the top 10 and sold double platinum. However, he hasn’t had much luck with “Bedroom Floor.” The 24-year-old’s second solo single has stalled at number 98 despite being a vast improvement on his smash hit debut. Perhaps their collaboration will give them the final boost to break through the American market. Give “For You” a spin below!

Liam Payne & Rita Ora Have A Duet On The ‘Fifty Shades Freed’ Soundtrack

UPDATE: Rita Ora confirmed that the duet exists and shared a title. See the tweet below!

It looks like Rita Ora and Liam Payne have recorded a duet for the Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack. The somewhat-unlikely couple posted a picture together on Instagram and they look perfectly suited to the sexy franchise. The “Anywhere” diva rocks a pink cocktail dress, while her potential collaborator looks suave in a suit. I’m not sure if the Brits will generate as much attention as Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik’s Fifty Shades Darker anthem, “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” but it can’t hurt either of them.

Rita Ora’s New Single “Anywhere” Is An Oddball Delight

“Your Song” was pleasant enough in an inoffensive dance-pop kind of way, but hardly good enough to kickstart a music career with as many stops and starts as Rita Ora’s. She might have more luck with “Anytime,” however. Reportedly produced by the all-star crew of AlessoSir Nolan and Watt, the Brit’s new single is a delightfully offbeat pop song about getting the fuck out of LA. “Time flies by when the night is young, daylight shines on an unexposed location,” she sings over an acoustic arrangement, before things take an unexpected turn.

“Over the hills and far away, a million miles from LA,” Rita coos on the ABBA-like chorus. “Just anywhere away with you, I know we’ve got to get away someplace where no one knows our name.” That’s already curious enough in 2017, but throw in a cute post-chorus drop and you’ve got something truly original. I thought the 26-year-old’s sophomore/debut album (depending on your location) was supposed to be a soulful opus about London, but I’m not complaining. This is a very pleasant surprise. Rita Ora Covers Madonna’s “Like A Virgin” For BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge

Rita Ora dropped by BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge to belt out her current single, “Your Song,” and delivered an accomplished performance (below). However, that wasn’t the highlight. All guests are required to sing a cover, which is usually a stripped-back rendition of whatever happens to be big at radio. The 26-year-old, on the other hand, dusted off Madonna’s seminal ’80s classic “Like A Virgin.” Not only that, but she mashed it up with Travis Scott’s “Goosebumps” to give it a more contemporary feel.

I usually feel uneasy when younger artists cover Madonna. It’s impossible to improve on the original, so why even try? But it’s slightly different in Rita’s case. She already has the Queen of Pop’s approval as one of the faces of the Material Girl fashion line and, if anyone can pull off a shameless grab for attention like “Like A Virgin,” it’s Rita. Stunt queen antics course through her veins like blood. Watch the Brit in action up top and below.

Rita Ora & Avicii’s “Lonely Together” Is A Melancholy Bop

Things are looking up for Rita Ora. The Brit’s current single, “Your Song,” has been a top 20 in just about every territory except the US and she’s putting the finishing touches on her sophomore album (due in early 2018). The pop star also lends her voice to Avicii’s “Lonely Together” — one of the highlights of the Swedish DJ’s comeback EP. In fact, the melancholy bop is probably the best things Rita has done since “I Will Never Let You Down” and really should be rolled out as a single.

The 26-year-old had previously performed a semi-acoustic version of the song at an event in London, but Avicii’s dreamy electronic production lifts it to another level. “It’s you and your world and I’m caught in the middle, I caught the edge of a knife and it hurts just a little,” Rita begins the track over driving synths. The diva realizes that the relationship is over, but can’t quite let go. “I might hate myself tomorrow, but I’m on my way tonight,” she sings on the chorus. “Let’s be lonely together.” Listen below.
