Welcome to the world, Daisy Dove Bloom! We are honoured to introduce Goodwill Ambassadors @KatyPerry and @OrlandoBloom’s new bundle of joy.⠀ ⠀ “We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,” Katy and Orlando told us.⠀ ⠀ “But we know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was. Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every eleven seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes. Since COVID-19 many more newborn lives are at risk because of the increased lack of access to water, soap, vaccines and medicines that prevent diseases. As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathize with struggling parents now more than ever.⠀ ⠀ “As UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors, we know UNICEF is there, on the ground, doing whatever it takes to make sure every expecting mother has access to a trained health worker and access to quality healthcare. In celebration of the heart we know our daughter already has, we have set up a donation page to celebrate DDB’s arrival. By supporting them, you are supporting a safe start to life and reimagining a healthier world for every child. We hope your ♥️ can bloom with generosity.⠀ ⠀ Gratefully-⠀ ⠀ Katy & Orlando.”⠀ ⠀ Please tap the link in our bio to support the most precious gift: a healthy child.

Before Katy gave birth, she opened up about how she’s always wanted to have kids. She told Australian radio show Fifi, Fev & Byron, «I was that girl, or am still that girl, that had that box, the baby clothes before there was the thought or even an Orlando Bloom.» She also said this is the perfect time to expand her family and added, «I think, definitely, everything’s changing. I wasn’t ready a couple years ago, and I did the work to get ready and now I’m really ready…It’s just time for me, and it’s the right time.»

Orlando Bloom Says He Doesn’t Want to Be Divorced ‘Again’ Ahead of Katy Perry Wedding

Orlando Bloom is ready to spend the rest of his life with fiancée Katy Perry.

The actor sat down for a new interview on Sunday Today with Willie Geistwhere he opens up about his relationship to the singer and their future together. Bloom, 42, and Perry, 34, were engaged on Valentine’s Day after dating on-and-off since 2016.

“It’s important to me that we are aligned — I’ve been married and divorced and I don’t want to do it again,” Bloom told Geist. “And we’re both fully aware of that. She’s remarkable and so I’m always so impressed with that and I’m encouraged.”

Bloom was previously married to model Miranda Kerr from 2010-2013 and they share 8-year-old son Flynn. Perry was previously married to comedian Russell Brand from 2010-2012.

Bloom also gave insight into why he proposed to Perry in such an elaborate way, whisking her away in a helicopter before finally popping the question. Though he says it was mostly so the two could have some privacy, it also satisfied Perry’s love of “big moments.”

“She loves a big moment. I’m still trying to get her to wrestle into the small moments,” Bloom said. “The cool thing about what we’re doing — we’re learning to do the small together. I think we’re both fully aware that it’s a mountain to climb and that that mountain won’t stop, in terms of a relationship, because I think that’s what it is. And I love to evolve and fortunately, she does too.”

The couple are often apart due to their careers but Bloom told PEOPLE last month that the distance has only made them stronger.

“You have to do the groundwork together, create the feeling of trust and safety so that you can spend time apart and do everything that you need to do and still feel tethered to that person, so that you can go on a journey together,” he said.

Perry, meanwhile, also seems happy to continue building the groundwork of their relationship rather than quickly leap into a marriage.

“I think we’re doing really great, and we’re really doing the hard work and laying a beautiful foundation before we start to build a monster house, metaphorically,” she said in July on KIIS1065’s The Kyle & Jackie O Show.

She clarified, “I’m saying [monster house] like, emotionally. It’s important for us to really do the work before we go and take this really big next step because we were both married before, and it’s not the same in your 30s, you know.”

Bloom’s full interview airs Sunday, Aug. 25. Bloom’s new Amazon series Carnival Row premieres on the platform Aug. 30.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom got engaged on Valentine’s Day

It was an extra special Valentine’s Day for the couple, as the pop star, 34, and actor, 42, got engaged.

Sharing her first photo with her now-fiancé, Perry posted a close-up image of the pair surrounded by numerous heart-shaped balloons, while showing off her unique flower-shaped diamond ring, which features a colorful jewel in the center.

“Full bloom,” she sweetly captioned the image, using a play on her husband-to-be’s name.

Bloom went on to share the same image on his own Instagram, captioning the adorable snap, “Lifetimes.”

The singer’s mother also shared, then later deleted a few intimate snaps from the couple’s engagement party on her Facebook page, captioning them, “Look who got engaged on Valentines Day!!”

Seemingly teasing the big day to come, Bloom shared a heartwarming quote about love on his Instagram earlier on Valentine’s Day, hours before the couple shared their big news.

“A shallow person will have only shallow relationships. Real love is not one person clinging to another , it can only be fostered between two strong people secure in their individuality. Antoine de Saint- Exupery, author of The Little Prince wrote in a work called Wind, Sand and Stars, ‘Love is not two people gazing at each other, but two people looking ahead together in the same direction.”

“Wisdom for Modern Life by Daisaku Ikeda,” he wrote. “February 14, 2019 ❤️got nothin but love for ya’ll ❤️.”

Katy Perry Opens Up About Orlando Bloom and Those Rekindled Romance Rumors

Reunited but…how does it feel?

Katy Perry recently addressed the rumors about a possible rekindled spark between her and Orlando Bloom. «Well you know I think people are in and out of your life,» she candidly admits. «It’s nice to keep people you love around you.» Did you catch that? We can’t help but notice that Perry is still using the «L» word when referring to the handsome actor.

«When you get older, lines get blurred,» the 32-year-old tells The Morning Mashup, a SiriusXM Hits 1 show. «And you know what, I’m really busy. I’m about to go on tour for another year.»

The rumor mill started to swirl again when the pair was spotted at an Ed Sheeran concert at the Staples Center in Los Angeles a little over a week ago.

«They definitely seemed like they’re back together,» an eyewitness told E! News at the time. «They cuddled most of the night. She sat on his lap most of the night and shared kisses.»

So we can maybe expect to see more of the two together in the future? Here’s hoping that Bloom pops up at a few of her gigs.

¿Vuelven a estar juntos Katy Perry y Orlando Bloom?

0

Orlando Bloom Visits Children Affected Violence in Niger

0

Orlando Bloom recently returned from a trip to Diffa, the southeast region of Niger, where hundreds of thousands of children have been forced from their homes due to Boko Haram violence.

“As a father, it is hard for me to imagine how many of these children are caught up in this conflict. During my trip, I have heard dreadful stories about children fleeing on foot, leaving everything behind, including the safety of their homes and classroom,” said the Goodwill Ambassador, who’s been on several missions with UNICEF since 2007.

Bloom, who shares 6-year-old son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr, met with many children and families in Diffa where over 240,000 internally displaced persons reside and receive aid from a UNICEF-supported psychosocial support unit.

“This visit has been extremely moving. Every single child I met is affected by this conflict and in desperate need of basic services such as clean water, psychological care and education to help them recover from the atrocities they have suffered and witnessed. They deserve a childhood,” Bloom said.
