The great singles just keep on coming from Noah Cyrus. Since arriving with breakthrough hit “Make Me (Cry)” in 2016, the 18-year-old has blessed us with a continuous stream of eclectic gems including pop/rock anthem “Stay Together” and the alt-leaning (and hugely underrated) “Again.” She returns today (May 11) with a new track called “Team.” It’s a duet with “Lights Down Low” hitmaker, MAX, and is an ode to the rising star’s grandparents. “This song and the way everything came together means so much to me,” Noah explains.

“The cover is actually a photo of my grandparents who met on a Monday, got married on Friday and were together for 29 years until my grandpa passed away when my mom was 19.” While the inspiration was specific, anyone with a beating heart will be able to relate to the feel-good anthem. “How many times do I have to convince you that I’ll always be on your team?” Noah and Max sing over a largely acoustic arrangement. “You’re runnin’ your mouth and you’re talking about me, but things aren’t always what they seem.” Take a listen to the catchy track below.

Noah Cyrus Teams Up With MØ For The Amazingly-Titled “We Are F**ked”

0

Noah Cyrus is the busiest woman in pop. When she’s not churning out amazing singles of her own, she’s lending her voice to a plethora of club collaborations or duetting with rock stars. The talented teen returns her focus to debut album, NC-17, today (February 5) — dropping a fiery collaboration with  called “We Are Fucked.” Produced by heavy-hitters Ali PayamiMax Martin and Savan Kotecha, this is both an indictment and celebration of youth culture wrapped up in a catchy pop song.

“My life is great, I write then hit update,” Noah begins the amazingly-titled bop. “I turn you on, wanna belong / so I go to the mall and I buy it all.” She gets to the point on the anthemic chorus. “We are fucked! These days we only follow, these days we’re feeling hollow.” As for MØ, well she pops up in the second verse and peppers the track with the odd word here and there. It will be interesting to see how radio responds to “We Are Fucked,” but it has the potential to go viral very, very fast.

One Bit & Noah Cyrus’ “My Way” Video Is A Pastel-Colored Dinner Party

0

In addition to forging a reputation as one of pop’s most exciting newcomers, Noah Cyrus has something of a side-gig as a club queen. Last year, the 18-year-old has lent her voice to Marshmello’s “Chasing Colors,” Alan Walker’s “All Falls Down,” Matoma’s “Slow” and One Bit’s “My Way.” The latter is built around a sample of Mylo’s “Doctor Pressure” and has all the makings of a crossover hit. Streaming numbers are good, it’s getting love from Radio 1 and the UK duo just dropped a cute, pastel-colored video.

“We originally co-wrote ‘My Way’ to a completely different track with Katya Edwards— a great songwriter friend of ours,” One Bit explains. “The vocal from that original version was a lot slower, so we sped it up and put it onto the early stages of what became ‘My Way.’ When it was all together in its current form we got in touch with Noah to see if she was up for featuring on it. Thankfully, she said yes!” The rising star also appears in the video, serving looks and choreography. Watch her in action up top.

Noah Cyrus Teams Up With UK Duo One Bit For “My Way”

0

In addition to releasing three perfect singles of her own, Noah Cyrus has established something of a side hustle as pop’s go-to club queen. The 17-year-old has lent her voice to Marshmello’s “Chasing Colors,” Alan Walker’s “All Falls Down” and, most recently, Matoma’s “Slow.” Her fourth and final (I’m guessing) club banger of 2017 dropped on Friday. She teams up with UK duo One Bit for a fiery floorfiller called “My Way,” which seems to be built around a sample of Mylo’s seminal “Doctor Pressure.”

“Why can’t we do this my way (my way), it’s gotta be what you say (you say),” Noah sings on the instantly-catchy chorus. “You think that you know better, but you keep proving you never — why can’t we do this my way (my way).” I liked all of the “Again”singer’s forays into the dance music, but this probably the best. Who is/are One Bit? A pair of UK producers called Jonty Howard and Joe Murphy, who first came to attention with viral remixes. Listen to “My Way” below.

Alan Walker Calls On Noah Cyrus For “All Falls Down”

0

It’s been a huge week for pop-friendly club collaborations with Selena Gomez & Marshmello’s “Wolves” and Clean Bandit & Julia Michaels’ “I Miss You.” You can add Alan Walker’s “All Falls Down” to that list. Featuring Noah Cyrus and Digital Farm Animals, the Norwegian DJ’s latest is something akin to a pre-breakup anthem. “You crossed the line and it’s time to say F you, what’s the point in saying that when you know how I’ll react?” the 17-year-old sings over a mellow, acoustic arrangement. “You think you can just take it back, but shit just don’t work like that.”

The synths finally kick in on the chorus. “If we just ain’t right and it’s time to say goodbye, When it all falls down… I’ll be fine.” It took a couple of listens to click for me, but once it does there’s no going back. “All Falls Down” is yet another reminder that Noah can do anything. From alt-leaning electro (“Again”) to rowdy pop/rock (“Stay Together”) and club bangers, she has met every challenge with ease. Listen to her latest collaboration below.

Noah Cyrus Shines In Jake Bugg’s Stylish “Waiting” Video

0

One of the new releases that got lost in the rush of New Music Friday (for me, at least) was the video for Jake Bugg and Noah Cyrus’ “Waiting.” A highlight of the British alt-rocker’s recent Hearts That Strain album, the duet has a raw soulfulness that stands out among the gentle Americana of songs like “How Soon The Dawn” and “Southern Rain.” That quality is captured perfectly by the black-and-white visual, which was filmed at Skinny’s Lounge — a classic diva bar in Los Angeles.

The concept couldn’t be more simple. It’s just Jake and Noah at a piano, performing the song. However, the clip is lit like a film noir from the ’40s and both artists shine in the stylish surroundings. The “Make Me (Cry)” diva is really on tear — following up her breakthrough hit with underrated summer anthem “Stay Together” and XXXTENTACION-assisted banger “Again.” This duet shows off another facet of her talent and is yet another reason to get excited for her upcoming debut LP, NC-17. Watch up top.

music video for waiting is out now! @jakebugg 🖤🥀

Noah Cyrus & Austin Mahone SparkDating Rumors After Looking Cozy In Miami

0

Whoa! Is this young Hollywood’s hottest new couple? Austin Mahone and Noah Cyrus are currently having the time of their lives TOGETHER in Miami. We’re SO into this!

Hmm! Austin Mahone, 21, seems to be enjoying some quality time with Noah Cyrus, 17. The pair of singers were spotted out and about in Austin’s hometown of Miami, Florida on Saturday, July 15. After hitting up the Y100 Mack-A-Poolooza summer pool party, Austin and Noah hit the beach to ride jet skis together. Austin took the wheel (er, handles) while Noah sat behind him and tagged along for the ride. The pair looked like they were having so much fun, and we’re totally into the idea of them being a couple!

Sadly, neither of the two singers have posted anything on their socials about their potential new romance. Shortly after their fun in Miami, Austin jetted off to Japan to perform for his international fans. It’s unclear where Noah is after her trip to Miami, but she has a performance scheduled in Sydney, Australia for July 20 so, unfortunately, it’s unlikely she joined Austin in Japan. If these two are heating up as a couple, hopefully we haven’t seen the last of them! After all, what’s better than two super hot, super talented young people in a relationship? Maybe we’ll even get a collaboration out of it!

Katy Perry, Niall Horan & Noah Cyrus Perform On «The Voice Australia»

0

Katy Perry wound up a lightning-fast promo tour of Australia with a pair of performances on The Voice. She belted out “Chained To The Rhythm” with the finalists, before returning for a show-stopping rendition of “Swish Swish.” The pop star began the song standing on a giant basketball hoop and was literally dunked when the chorus kicked in. The 32-year-old then took the stage with a group of stiletto-wearing male dancers and managed to avoid a concussion when dozens of basketballs rained down from above. This ranks as my favorite “Swish Swish” performance by far.

The Voice also hosted two other international guests. Niall Horan took a very different approach for “Slow Hands,” casually singing the summer smash with his band. Forget out about “This Town.” This is the Irishman’s real debut as a solo artist. Noah Cyrus also made an impressive appearance. The “Make Me (Cry)” hitmaker rocked a red jumpsuit and served serious attitude while performing new single “I’m Stuck.” I would have loved to hear “Stay Together,” but this is more appropriate for family TV. Watch the performances above and below.
