El regreso de Adele: Hosting Saturday Night Live

0

Bloooooody hellllll I’m so excited about this!! And also absolutely terrified! My first ever hosting gig and for SNL of all things!!!! I’ve always wanted to do it as a stand alone moment, so that I could roll up my sleeves and fully throw myself into it, but the time has never been right. But if there was ever a time for any of us to jump head first into the deep end with our eyes closed and hope for the best it’s 2020 right? Itll be almost 12 years to the day that I first appeared on the show, during an election…which went on to break my career in America, so it feels full circle and I just couldn’t possibly say no! I am besides myself that H.E.R will be the musical guest!! I love her SO much I can’t wait to melt into a flaming hot mess when she performs, then confuse myself while I laugh my arse off in between it all. See you next week ♥️🤞🏻

Adele & the Grinch Tried to Ruin Christmas: See the Pic

0

Adele gave us a sweet early Christmas present on Monday (Dec. 23), even if it wasn’t the one we were looking for. No, there’s no new music coming from the «Hello» singer (at least as far as we know), but she did post a sweet pic with an old friend that is sure to put a smile on your face.

«We both tried to ruin Christmas but then both our hearts grew!» Adele wrote alongside a black-and-white picture of her in a ruffled black dress standing back-to-back with someone dressed as the Dr. Seuss holiday baddies amid falling snow with London in the background.

«Thank you for coming to my party and making us feel like kids Grinch,» she added, wishing a Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all her fans.

Earlier this year, Adele reportedly began work on the follow-up to 25, which broke the record for biggest first-week album sales following its 2015 release. While making a highly publicized visit to a New York drag bar in March, she confirmed she was “working” in the city (she had been photographed entering Manhattan’s Electric Lady Studios) and, two months later, on her 31st birthday, she teased in a cheeky Instagram caption that “30 will be a drum n bass record” — but a rumored November date came and went.

Check out her post with the Grinch below.

Adele Shares Devastation at Canceling Weekend London Shows

0

Grammy award winner Adele canceled two sold-out weekend shows at London’s Wembley Stadium, telling fans early Saturday (July 1) that her vocal cords were damaged and that she was advised by a doctor not to perform.

In a statement to her fans on social media, Adele said she considered going ahead with her Saturday night performance but didn’t think she would have been able to make it through the show and didn’t want to «crumble» on stage.

«I’m so desperate to do them that I’ve even considered miming, just to be in front of you and be with you,» she wrote. «But I’ve never done it and I cannot in a million years do that to you. It wouldn’t be the real me up there.»

The announcement came at the end of a 15-month tour throughout Europe, the United State, Australia and New Zealand. The pop superstar said that touring never suited her well, and had hinted earlier that her current tour for the album 25 would be her last.

The 29-year-old British singer included a signed, handwritten note in the program for her Wednesday night show at Wembley saying, «I don’t know if I’ll ever tour again and so I want my last time to be at home.»

The «Hello» tour would have included a total of 123 performances had Adele gone ahead with the two shows this weekend. She performed at Wembley on Wednesday and Thursday nights.

«To not complete this milestone in my career is something I’m struggling to get my head around and I wish that I wasn’t having to write this,» she wrote. «It’s something I’m really struggling to come to terms with. It’s as if my whole career has been building up to these four shows.»

Adele said refunds will be available, if the shows can’t be rescheduled.

«I’m sorry, I’m devastated,» she said. «I’m sorry. I love you. I’m so sorry. Please forgive me x.»

Adele Surprises Grenfell Tower Firefighters With Tea, Cake and Cuddles

0

Adele wanted to make these firefighters feel her love—so she showed up with cake.

In light of the recent Grenfell Tower blaze, which left 79 people presumed dead, the Grammy winner made her way over to the Chelsea Fire Station to thank a group of firefighters for their public service.

Ever the gracious visitor, the famous songstress did not show up empty-handed. «She just turned up at the station and knocked on the window and said she has some cakes for us,» Chelse Fire Station manager Ben King told reporters. «So we opened the door to her and then she took her sunglasses off and said: ‘Hi, I’m Adele.'»

The star kept the visit casual and comfortable by sitting down for a cup of tea with the firefighters and partaking in a moment of silence for the victims of the tragic fire. Before leaving, Adele smiled for photos with the group, including one shot that captured the star mid-laugh.

Needless to say, the singer was more than welcome at the station. «Not everyday the wonderfully grounded and caring Adele pops into Chelsea Firestation for a cup of tea and a cuddle,» King wrote on Instagram.

Without publicizing her efforts, the «Send My Love» singer has been showing her love and support for the victims since the fire occurred on June 14. A day after the blaze, Adele discreetly paid a visit to the site of the fire reportedly with husband Simon Konecki. Fan sites also reported Adele asking if anyone needed help in between hugging fans and strangers.

Currently, a criminal investigation is under way to determine the cause of the fire.

Our thoughts are with all those affected by the incident.

ADELE’S TWO BIGGEST FANS GOT TO PERFORM FOR HER

Post Image

Remember those two Irish lads who stitched four Adele songs together into a super-impressive medley? It turns out Adele was impressed by them, too.

The “Hello” singer invited Ronan Scolard and Glenn Murphy to join her onstage at Dublin’s 3Arena on Saturday (March 5) and perform their hybrid cover for the sold out crowd. Apparently she cried when she first watched the video the boys had put together — and it looks like she also had to hold back tears while singing along to the live version a day later.

“I swear to God they did not know that I was going to do this,” said Adele after bringing the two singers up to the stage. She had a piano and a pair of microphones set up just for them, and while they looked shocked at being asked to perform, Scolard and Murphy quickly got over their stage fright.

This version of the medley might be even more stirring than the original recording — because hey, knowing Adele is watching is probably guaranteed to up your game.

“Hard to believe this actually happened,” wrote Scolard on Facebook. “So proud, and so incredibly grateful!”
