Blue Ivy Carter is following in her mom and dad’s footsteps, as the young artist has already won her first big award — and her famous family couldn’t be happier for her.
On Friday night (Feb. 21), it was announced that Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s 8-year-old daughter had won her first official honor at the 51st NAACP Image Awards in the category of Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration for «Brown Skin Girl,» her collaboration with Beyoncé, SAINt JHN and WizKiD off the 2019 album The Lion King: The Gift.
The Lion King: The Gift features songs inspired by the recent update of the Disney classic (in which Beyoncé voiced the part of Nala), and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. «Brown Skin Girl» gave Blue Ivy her very first song on the Billboard Hot 100 when it debuted at No. 76 on the chart in July.
Blue Ivy’s grandmother, Tina Lawson, shared her pride on Instagram following the news on Saturday (Feb. 22). «Grandma is soo proud of you,» she wrote alongside a photo of Blue Ivy. «You are giving all the beautiful little brown girls a voice.»
Meghan Trainor thinks it’s «Nice To Meet Ya» with her latest release, out this Friday (Jan. 31) and featuring none other than Nicki Minaj. The joint track will arrive on the same day as Trainor’s third studio album Treat Myself.
Last Wednesday (Jan. 22), the «Wave» singer released her almost complete track list featuring 15 songs that she had previously encoded via emojis. The second track had still not been unveiled to her fans and only showed an image of shaking hands, which presumably is the «Nice To Meet Ya» track she was waiting until today (Jan. 28) to talk about.
«The rumors are true,» Trainor tweeted with a smirking emoji today. «#NiceToMeetYa featuring my QUEEN @NICKIMINAJ …out on Friday!»
Dua Lipa’s been giving us a taste of her upcoming sophomore album, Future Nostalgia, for months now, and fans finally have a release date.
The songstress took to Twitter to announce that the album will be dropping on April 3. Future Nostalgia will feature the previously-released title track, lead single «Don’t Start Now» and the upcoming «Physical,» out on Friday (Jan. 31).
Her debut, self-titled album was released in 2017.
“I got to work with the photographer Hugo Comte, who I’m a massive fan of,” she recently told Billboard at the Grammy awards of the Future Nostalgia concept. “I’m really grateful that we got to work on this together.”

The Weeknd looks to keep the ball rolling into 2020. Abel dropped off the twisted «Blinding Lights» video on Tuesday (Jan. 21), which finds the singer continuing his intoxicating trip to Las Vegas that began with his «Heartless» visual from December.
The XO singer wakes up in a trance while sweating and breathing heavily with blood staining his teeth. He gets up with a demonic smirk and recklessly takes his Mercedes-Benz convertible for a spin away from the Vegas Strip. The Toronto native has flashbacks to getting beat up and thrown out of the club earlier in the night, which explains all of the blood and bruises along with him being on the run to get to a safe place.
The Uncut Gems star will be taking his talents to Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday, when he’s expected to perform his latest hit single. A new Weeknd era is upon us, as «Heartless» topped the Hot 100, while «Blinding Lights» debuted at No. 11 and currently sits at No. 39.

Attention: Harry Styles has a doppelgänger and the fans who discovered him are taking to social media to let the world know.
In a viral TikTok video, a car full of Styles’ fans approach the lookalike while he’s working the drive-thru window of their local Starbucks. «Are you Harry Styles? We’re literally listening to your song right now!» one of the teens tells the barista as another confirms, «You look like Harry Styles.»
Clad in the coffee chain’s signature green apron and a black turtleneck, the doppelgänger — whose name appears to be Sean according to his nametag — could easily pass for the former One Direction-er’s carbon copy, his brown hair pulled up in a half-bun much like the star’s during his boy band days. (Other TikTok users insist the barista looks more like actor Dylan O’Brien, but it’s safe to split the difference.)
Alicia Keys has new music on the way! On Monday (Jan. 20), the star announced the release date for her upcoming seventh studio album, simply titled Alicia.
«#ALICIA The Album 3/20,» Keys wrote on Instagram alongside what appears to be the project’s colorful cover art, which features the singer-songwriter photographed from four different angles against peach, purple and turquoise backdrops.
The announcement comes just days before the star’s second annual gig as the host of Sunday’s upcoming Grammy Awards (Jan. 26). The self-titled album follows Keys’ 2016 LP Here, and was preceded by the Miguel-assisted lead single «Show Me Love» as well as «Time Machine» and the motivational «Underdog.»
The Jonas Brothers go full-on carpool karaoke through Vegas in a new video for «What a Man Gotta Do.»
The alternate music video, which comes just a few days after the official music video (co-starring wives Danielle Jonas, Sophie Turner and Priyanka Chopra Jonas) was released, focuses completely on Kevin, Joe and Nick as the siblings share the backseat of a frivolous car ride in Las Vegas.
«When in Vegas,» the guys captioned the good-time clip, which premiered on Monday (Jan. 20).
