Normani dropped her highly anticipated new single, «Fair,» on Friday (Mar. 18).

It’s been nine months since Normani unveiled her “Wild Side” collaboration with Cardi B in July 2021 and, as expected, fans had been itching for new music ever since. The singer answered prayers on Friday (March 18), when she unveiled the highly anticipated new single, “Fair.”
The song, produced by HARV, finds Normani crooning softly with soaring harmonies over a pulsating bass track that sounds like a heartbeat. “Is it fair that you moved on, ‘cause I swear that I haven’t,” she sings in the chorus of “Fair,” which she co-wrote with Abby Keen, HARV and Felisha King Harvey.
“This song really captures me in one of my most vulnerable moments,” Normani said in a press statement about the song. “Sharing this record makes me uncomfortable because you have never really seen me in this light. Definitely aware that you might feel like you don’t know much about me but that’s only because it’s what makes me feel protected. I am really forcing myself to let go here. This is huge for me and hopefully this piece of art resonates. Love is beautiful yet so soooo terrifying. I adore you guys to the moon and back.”
To celebrate the release of “Fair” Normani performed her brand new song for the first time live on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Charlie Puth. Now there’s a man we want a word with. It’s been quite a while since we suggested – no, demanded – he drop his much (much, much, much) teased new track ‘Light Switch’. Months, in fact. And yet still, he hasn’t.
Trailed via TikTok clips over weeks throughout the back part of the year, the track has started to gain an almost mythical status. An organic masterpiece or very clever marketing – that’s up for debate – but we certainly want to hear it in full. Now.
But then, we sort of have – because for the first time, Charlie has performed the track live. Playing for a TikTok New Year’s Eve stream, the big tease delivered a more restrained, piano-led take on the song. Still, it counts as a first proper airing, so you can check it out below.
We’re assured the proper, full version will be with us soon, but quite frankly we’re done with believing a single word that comes out of Puth’s dirty mouth. Actions speak louder than words. Drop. The. Track.
Editor’s Note: The 2022 GRAMMYs Awards show, officially known as the 64th GRAMMY Awards, has been rescheduled to Sunday, April 3, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The below article was updated on Tuesday, Jan. 18, to reflect the new show date and location.
The following is a Joint Statement from the Recording Academy and CBS:
“After careful consideration and analysis with city and state officials, health and safety experts, the artist community and our many partners, the Recording Academy and CBS have postponed the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards Show. The health and safety of those in our music community, the live audience, and the hundreds of people who work tirelessly to produce our show remains our top priority. Given the uncertainty surrounding the Omicron variant, holding the show on January 31st simply contains too many risks. We look forward to celebrating Music’s Biggest Night on a future date, which will be announced soon.”
The Weeknd has participated in Rosalía’s most recent song, the bachata «La Fama».
The Weeknd, one of today’s most globally successful artists, today made a surprise announcement that his fifth studio album will be released imminently this Friday and will be definitively titled «Dawn FM».
«You’ve been too long in the dark and it’s time to wake up to the light and accept your destiny with open arms,» whispers the voiceover of a radio announcer in the video posted on his networks, in which the Canadian anticipates «a new sound universe».

In it he discovers a series of prestigious collaborators: Tyler The Creator, Lil Wayne and Onethrix Point Never, as well as actor Jim Carrey. Also featured is the veteran Quincy Jones, producer of Michael Jackson’s most emblematic albums: «Off The Wall», «Thriller» and «Bad», as well as the song «We Are The World».
Lindsay Lohan, who has largely foregone acting in recent years, will soon star in a yet-to-be-titled Netflix holiday rom-com. The streamer has made a robust business out of Christmas fare, and its original movies such as “Jingle Jangle,” “A Christmas Prince,” “The Christmas Chronicles” and “The Princess Switch” (inspired by Lohan’s “The Parent Trap”) have become instant (and repeatable) holiday classics.

In this new movie, Lohan will play a “newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress” (according to the logline), who gets amnesia after a skiing accident and “finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas.” The rest of the cast has not yet been announced.
Lohan skyrocketed to fame as an 11-year-old actor, starring in a 1998 reboot of “The Parent Trap.” She followed that with a remake of “Freaky Friday” and “Mean Girls”; both roles cemented her status as an A-list star. After years of being hounded by paparazzi and the tabloids because of personal issues — ones that made her uninsurable for a time because of her chronic absences — Lohan withdrew from acting by degrees, starting in the early 2010s. She eventually moved abroad, living in both Europe and Dubai.

She’s launched projects sporadically since, such as being the only good thing in Paul Schrader’s 2013 movie, “The Canyons”; appearing in a West End production of “Speed-the-Plow” in 2014; recurring on the British TV comedy “Sick Note” in 2018; starring in the MTV reality show “Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club” in 2019; and later that year, appearing as a judge on the Australian version of “The Masked Singer.”
On CNN’s New Year’s Eve special in 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic would press pause on the world, Lohan told hosts Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen that she wanted to “come back to America and start filming again,” and “taking back the life that I worked so hard for, and sharing it with my family and you guys.”
The Netflix movie starts production in November, so it won’t be for 2021 holiday viewing — audiences will receive this Yuletide present at a time to be announced later.
Janeen Damian (Hallmark Channel’s “A Christmas Waltz”) will direct, and it was written by Damian, Michael Damian, Jeff Bonnett and Ron Oliver. Its producers are MPCA’s Brad Krevoy and Riviera Films’ Michael Damian. MPCA is behind such Netflix Christmas movies as the “A Christmas Prince” franchise, “Operation Christmas Drop” and the forthcoming “A Castle for Christmas.” (And fun fact: Michael Damian was a longtime star of the CBS soap opera “The Young and the Restless,” and in 1989, had a No. 1 single: “Rock On,” from the “Dream a Little Dream” soundtrack.”)
Executive producers for Lohan’s Netflix movie are Amanda Phillips and Eric Jarboe.

Nearly 14 years after losing power over her personal affairs and multimillion-dollar fortune, Britney Spears is finally getting her life back.
On Friday, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny terminated Spears’ conservatorship effective immediately, freeing the 39-year-old pop star from the legal binds that allowed her dad and his team to make decisions about her work, who she could have contact with, and how to spend her money since 2008. Now, Spears can live on her own terms.
«The time has come after more than a decade for the conservatorship to be terminated in its entirety,» Spears’ attorney Mathew Rosengart told the court.
The ruling marks the end of what she has described as a «demoralizing» and traumatizing chapter of her life. And while the #FreeBritney fan movement and increased scrutiny from news outlets certainly hastened what we now know was a yearslong fight to regain control, it was Spears’ own voice that brought matters to a head four and a half months ago when she told the court — and the world — that her conservatorship was «abusive» and she wanted out.
«I just want my life back,» Spears said during a virtual court appearance on June 23. «It’s been 13 years. And it’s enough.»
Shortly after Friday’s hearing, Spears thanked her fans in a tweet with the hashtag #FreedBritney.
«Good God I love my fans so much it’s crazy 🥺❤️ !!! I think I’m gonna cry the rest of the day !!!!,» she tweeted. «Best day ever … praise the Lord … can I get an Amen 🙏🏼☀️🙌🏼 ????» And in a follow up Instagram post, she posted a photo of her in a bright yellow dress with the caption: «I can’t freaking believe it !!!! Again … best day ever !!!!»

Billie Eilish kicked off her North American Where Do We Go? tour on Monday night (March 9) at AmericanAirlines Arena with a very important message about body shaming. Fan-shot clips of the video show Eilish, 18, wearing a vest before she takes it off to expose her bra and slips into a pool of black water.
«The body I was born with… is it not what you wanted?» asks the singer who has said in the past that she chose to purposely wear baggy clothes to avoid being sexualized. «You have opinions about my opinions, about my music, about my clothes, about my body… Some people hate what I wear, some people praise it, some people use it to shame others, some people use it to shame me — but I feel you watching.»
Eilish then talks about feeling constantly on display, feeling the stares of others, their disapproval and sighs of relief, secure that if she lived through other people’s view of her she’d never be able to do anything. «Would you like me to be smaller? Weaker? Softer? Taller? Would you like me to be quiet? Do my shoulders provoke you? Does my chest? Am I my stomach? My hips?» she asks.
«The body I was born with – is it not what you wanted? If I wear what is comfortable, I am not a woman. If I shed the layers, I’m a slut. Though you’ve never seen my body, you still judge it and judge me for it. Why?… We decide who they are. We decide what they’re worth. If I wear more; if I wear less, who decides what that makes me? What that means? Is my value based only on your perception? Or is your opinion of me not my responsibility?”
According to reports, the two-minute video was played near the end of Eilish’s 22-song set, just before «All the Good Girls Go To Hell.»
The show was also special for another reason: it featured a superstar summit meeting between Eilish and Jennifer Lopez. The Super Bowl halftime star posted pics of the moment when she and daughter Emme, 12, hung out with Billie backstage.
Check out the sweet snaps, and Eilish’s moving message, below.
Nick Jonas took to social media on Sunday (March 1) to show off his adorable weekend date with Priyanka Chopra involving horses, cowboy hats and a picturesque view.
«Sunday,» the JoBro captioned a series of snaps of him and his wife riding a pair of horses beachside in Carpinteria, Calif. The pair of lovebirds are all smiles in the pictures, with Chopra gazing adoringly at her husband as he glances back with a grin.
Coincidentally, the sweet snaps arrive on the one-year anniversary of the release of the Jonas Brothers’ comeback single «Sucker,» which rocketed to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 upon its surprise release in March 2019 and eventually became the year’s top song on U.S. radio. The Jonas Brothers each celebrated the anniversary on social media, with Nick writing in his post (which featured pics with Chopra from the «Sucker» video set), «we can’t help but realize how lucky we are.»
Nick recently teased that the band’s follow-up to 2019’s Happiness Begins is set to be announced in the coming weeks, and has already been preceded by lead single «What a Man Gotta Do.» Up next, Nick, Kevin and Joe are set to head to Las Vegas for a month-long residency at the Park Theater at Park MGM, which kicks off April 1.
