WILL SMITH REACTS VIOLENTLY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OSCARS PRESENTATION

0

Chris Rock and Will Smith have been involved in a painful altercation during the 2022 Oscar telecast. Rock appeared on stage to present the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature and made an unfortunate joke about Jada Pinkett Smith being in ‘Lieutenant O’Neil’ because of her shaved head. Smith went on stage and slapped Rock.

Although it seemed like a joke at first, Smith returned to his seat and shouted at Rock, «Keep my wife’s name out of your fucking mouth!» visibly angry and beside himself. Many in the audience seemed stunned by the altercation, unsure if it was a joke. Diddy was the next presenter during the ceremony, where he appeared to introduce the 50th anniversary celebration of ‘The Godfather’. Diddy addressed the situation, saying, «Will and Chris, we’re going to work that out as a family. Right now we’re moving forward with love.»

The video with sound of the incident is particularly unpleasant, as the American ABC broadcast cut the sound at the moment of the slap. Will Smith’s publicist, Meredith O. Sullivan, approached him during the commercial break to have a conversation. Also during the commercial break, Will Smith is pulled aside and comforted by Denzel Washington and Tyler Perry, who tell him to ignore it. Will appears to wipe tears from his eyes as he returns to sit with Jada, with Denzel comforting Jada and Will’s manager at his side.

Pinkett Smith announced last year that she had to shave her head after battling alopecia. The actress said in an Instagram post:

«Now, at this point, I can only laugh… everyone knows I’ve been battling alopecia. All of a sudden, one day… it just popped up like this. Now, this is going to be a little harder for me to hide. So, I thought I’d share it so you don’t ask questions…. Mom will have to take it to her scalp so no one thinks she had brain surgery or something. This alopecia and I are going to be friends…period!».

But perhaps the most awkward moment of the night came later, when the performer was to pick up the award for Best Actor for playing Richard Williams, father of Venus and Serena, in ‘The Williams Method’ (King Richard). He was there for that and the whole ceremony was completely derailed by what happened beforehand, so that when he went to collect the statuette with tears in his eyes, but not of emotion, after receiving an ovation, using his speech to apologize visibly affected, in an uncomfortable and strange atmosphere he was able to get out of the incident halfway.

The incident has created outrage in networks, and many have ventured to opine that Smith should have been expelled from the gala, even that he should be stripped of the Oscar. The actor’s full acceptance speech was full of allusions to what had just happened and apologies to the Academy and nominees, but failed to mention the assaulted, Chris Rock. You can read it below:

«Richard Williams was a fierce advocate for his family. At this point in my life, at this moment, I am overwhelmed by what God is calling me to do and be in this world. In making this film, I had to protect Aunjanue Ellis, who is one of the strongest and most delicate people I have ever met. I have to protect Sinai and Demi, the two actresses who play Venus and Serena. I’m being called upon in my life to love people. And protect people and be a river for my people.

I know, to do what we do, we have to be able to take the abuse. You have to be able to make people talk about you insanely. In this business you have to be able to have people disrespect you and you have to smile and pretend that’s okay. Denzel said to me a few minutes ago, ‘At your highest moment, be careful, that’s when the devil comes for you.’ I want to be a vessel for love. I mean, thanks to Venus and Serena and the whole Williams family for trusting me with their story.

I want to be an ambassador of that kind of love and care. I want to apologize to the Academy, I want to apologize to all my fellow nominees. This is a beautiful moment and I’m not crying about winning an award. It’s not about winning an award for me, it’s about being able to shine a lot of light on all the people…and the whole cast and crew of ‘King Richard’ and Venus and Serena and the whole Williams family. Art imitates life – I look like the crazy dad, as they said about Richard Williams! But, love will make you do crazy things.»

I hope the Academy invites me back!»

It seems that the history between Chris Rock and Will Smith goes back a long way, specifically at the 2016 Oscars, when Rock made some jokes with Jada because she was boycotting the Oscars on behalf of Will, who was one of the main supporters of the hagstag #Oscarsowhite, a protest that changed the history of the ceremonies.

«Jada says she’s not coming – is she on some TV show? Is she going to boycott the Oscars? Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna’s panties. I wasn’t invited That’s not an invitation I would turn down, but I get it, I’m not hating.»

Coldplay: the spectacle of colors and songs that Dominicans will have the luxury to enjoy

0

Ramon Almanzar
(Special Envoy)
San José, Costa Rica

Coldplay crossed the Atlantic with renewed illusions. The English band is in the Americas to exchange music for applause and love. In Costa Rica, its members stamped their first smiles and received the first ovations at the start of a tour of good vibes and pure life that this Tuesday 22nd will touch Dominican territory, in the Olympic Stadium of Santo Domingo.

In the heat of the Dominicans, Chris Martin, Jon Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion will pour sweat and songs, and will receive the ovation of a crowd that will marvel at their artistic proposal, called «Music of the Spheres World Tour».

The British group leads the audience, as they did on Friday and Saturday nights at the National Stadium of San José, where Listín Diario was present, to a formidable experience, injecting a musical frenzy that spans from the genesis of «Yellow», from their debut album «Parachutes» (year 2000), to the songs of their renewed repertoire compiled in the album «Music of the Spheres».

Few concerts are seen in the land of merengue and bachata and dembow with such a spectacular visual and with a premium band of international pop and rock, right now the most powerful.

It is a luxury to have Coldplay on stage, which this time in its world tour, environmentally friendly, gave the Dominican Republic the privilege of scheduling a show for the first time in its two decades of existence.

The current tour consists of 52 shows: 17 in Latin America, 12 in North America and 23 in Europe.

In addition to their songs, the «coloratura» and the charisma of the vocalist, Chris Martin, the show rests its magic in the arms of the fans through luminous bracelets that become the amazing part of the night by being an integral part of every moment.

The visual of the Costa Rican stadium, with those bracelets of LED lights, generated a perfect, unique, special sensory connection between band and audience every time they turned on or changed colors, depending on the rhythm, whether it was pop, rock or ballad.

A long corridor in the very center of the stage that connects to the main stage (which is not roofed) brings the four fantastic musicians closer to each other. Those present have in this model better angles to appreciate them.

Two large round screens at the ends and an oval one behind the stage also contribute to appreciate the details because they focus on the protagonists and not on filling them with extra images or offstage.

Coldplay’s musical combination goes like a wave over the crowd that for the two decades of validity already gathers two generations, between adults and young people. Interestingly, they also attract children and many teenagers.

The powerful song «Higher Power» gave the pistol to the race of emotions that never stops until reaching the goal of ecstasy.

Along the way, the temperature rises and the musicians bring the collective climax with a series of Coldplay signature songs, including «Feel my Heart», «Paradise», «Scientist» and «Viva la vida».

It also includes «My Universe,» the surprise recording with Korean group BTS.

One of the most charming moments is when Martin invites his fans to turn off their cell phones, contemplate the sky full of stars and sing «A Sky Full Of Stars» with him.

In both Costa Rica and Santo Domingo the production is by Dominican businessman Saymon Diaz, who walked through the crowd at the Tico stadium, checking the band’s greatness and that the logistics set up by him, Jose Chabebe and the entire SD Concerts team were as planned.

For the show on Tuesday 22nd at the Olympic Stadium in Santo Domingo, the venue is set for 33 thousand people.

Britney Spears poses completely naked after her father’s guardianship decision

0

A judge in Los Angeles (USA) suspended Jamie Spears, the singer’s father, as guardian of Britney Spears’ estate and appointed a temporary replacement, who will be in charge of supervising the singer’s finances until December 31, this year. As a reason for celebration, the renowned singer published several photographs that took only a few moments to go viral and generate millions of ‘likes’, because although the celebrity usually shows her body without restrictions or filters, these were quite controversial, since she appears completely naked.

The publication on Instagram is accompanied by the following message: «Playing in the Pacific never hurt anyone», adding that the photos do not have any filter, so their «curves» are natural. The artist is close to turning 40 years old.

Immediately, the photos began to add likes and thousands of comments that at this moment already reach about 3 million «likes» and 108,000 reactions. Among them stands out the message of Paris Hilton who pointed out: “I love to see you so happy and free! You deserve it! I love you B ”, referring to the decision that his father no longer handles his finances. For his part, actor Sam Asghari, Britney Spears’ fiancé, took advantage of the 10 nudes shared by the singer to denounce the censorship of the female nipple on Instagram with the famous #freethenipple.

Also, the celebrity shared another video enjoying the beach and ensuring that it is a «nice day» to celebrate. As is known, this is another important step for the singer who has been fighting for her freedom for a decade. «Mr. Spears must surrender all of his assets and powers as guardian,» said Judge Brenda Penny. Mathew Rosengart, Britney’s attorney, noted that Jaime Spears is a «cruel, toxic and abusive» man. For this reason, he affirmed that Spears wanted him out of her life. «It is what my client wants, it is what my client needs, it is what my client deserves.»

Lil Nas X causes controversy with photos of his «pregnancy»

0

‘Montero’ is the title of the artist’s next work to which he will ‘give birth’ on September 17.

If the expectations around the new Lil Nas X album were through the roof, the latest publication of the singer has managed to directly skyrocket. Montero will be the title of the Old Town Road interpreter’s next work and will be released on September 17, specifically when Lil Nas X «gives birth.» After showing a cover that has been considered a true visual fantasy, some first-rate collaborations between his tracklist with names like Elton John, Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion or Miley Cyrus, now Lil Nas X has made a most illustrative analogy about how has been the process of creating your new album. As if it were a pregnancy and Montero was her baby, she has presented it that way. A fairly common comparison in the musical world but rarely as graphic and impressive as the artist has taught.

The ‘pregnancy’ of Lil Nas X that has caused a furor It has been through his latest post on Instagram that Lil Nas X has started the countdown to the launch with a pregnant photoshoot. Dressed entirely in white, with a flower crown on his head and an unbuttoned shirt that reveals his pregnant belly, a very pregnant Lil Nas X exclaimed: «» Surprise! I can’t believe I’m finally announcing this! . My bundle of joy Montero comes out on September 17, 2021. ”A post in which in addition to including three photos in the purest style of the antepartum session has also added a final image of an ultrasound and… surprise! you see through the small black and white screen? Your baby, that is, the applauded cover for Montero.

BRITNEY SPEARS AFIRMA QUE SU PADRE INTENTA EXTORSIONARLA.

0
