Anne-Marie saved the best for last. The Brit closes out a busy 2017 by dropping her best song of the year. “Then” is a fiery breakup anthem that oozes emotion without skimping on her trademark dance beats. “True ride or die, that’s what you had,” the 26-year-old begins the catchy chorus. “I loved you, I loved you, I loved you.” Things continue to get very real. “And when you think of my body on yours, don’t forget once I would have died for you,” she continues. “But that was then.”
“Then” is the latest cut from Anne-Marie’s long-overdue debut LP. It follows worldwide hit “Alarm,” summery bop “Ciao Adios” and the slept-on “Heavy.” (She also featured on Nick Jonas’ clubby “Remember I Told You” along with Mike Posner). I guess her label is just trying to find the song, before dropping the album and they might just have it with this. You can stream the rising star’s latest bop below from midnight (ET) tonight.
