Lady Gaga’s album Born This Way celebrated its 10th anniversary on Sunday, and to mark the occasion, the City of West Hollywood officially declared May 23 “Born This Way Day.” Gaga was also awarded the key to the city by West Hollywood Mayor Lindsey P. Horvath. “Thank you for encouraging us to love ourselves and be proud,” Horvath told Gaga. A street painting featuring the album’s title was also unveiled today to kick off West Hollywood’s Pride season.

“Born This Way, my song and album, were inspired by Carl Bean, a gay black religious activist who preached, sung and wrote about being ‘Born This Way.’ Notably his early work was in 1975, 11 years before I was born,” Gaga wrote. “Thank you for decades of relentless love, bravery, and a reason to sing. So we can all feel joy, because we deserve joy. Because we deserve the right to inspire tolerance, acceptance, and freedom for all.”

Este domingo – 23 de mayo – se llevó a cabo una edición más de los Billboard Music Awards en el Microsoft Theatre en Los Angeles, California. La ceremonia corrió bajo la conducción del menor de los integrantes de los Jonas Brothers, Nick Jonas, y contó con grandes momentos.

Y es que, como era de esperarse, The Weeknd fue el artista que más galardones se llevó al arrasar en diez de las 16 categorías en las que se encontraba nominado. Con ello, Abel se convirtió en el artista más premiado de los Billboard Music Awards 2021, mostrando así su gran talento tras ser rechazado de los Premios Grammy.

Además de ser el artista más premiado, The Weeknd también ofreció una de las presentaciones musicales más impactantes de la noche. El canadiense se apoderó de la transmisión para interpretar su éxito ‘Save your tears’ sobre un convertible rojo rodeado de otros iguales.

Coge aire. Y quizás algo para secarte las lágrimas. Horas después de haber publicado las primeras imágenes de la reunión de ‘Friends’, HBO Max lanza el tráiler del especial en el que por fin, tantos años después, los seis protagonistas se han vuelto a reunir única y exclusivamente para hablar de la sitcom que marcó a millones de espectadores.

Para hablar… ¡y muchas cosas más! En el tráiler ya vemos pinceladas de lo que ya se había anunciado previamente, como la recreación del trivial del capítulo ‘El de los embriones’, esta vez con preguntas de la serie, o la lectura del guion ‘El de que todos lo descubren’. Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry y David Schwimmer se muestran muy emocionados por este reencuentro y por volver a pisar el set de Warner Bros. donde grabaron los episodios.

ASAP Rocky Confirms Dating Rihanna In New Interview

The “Wild for the Night” rapper, 32, tells GQ for the magazine’s June/July 2021 cover story a bit about his romance with Rihanna, 33, gushing that she is “the love of my life; my lady.”

When asked what it feels like to be in a relationship, A$AP Rocky said, “So much better. So much better when you got ‘the One.’ She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones.”

“I think when you know, you know. She’s the One,” he added.

A$AP Rocky also shared his thoughts on starting a family, saying that fatherhood is “in my destiny, absolutely.” He continued, “I think I’m already a dad! All these motherfuckers are already my sons—whatchu talkin’ ’bout!” Rocky laughed while answering the question.

“Nah, but like, I think I’d be an incredible, remarkably, overall amazing dad,” he continued. “I would have a very fly child. Very.”

Rocky also expressed how much he prefers being in a relationship rather than being single. Pre-Rihanna, the rapper was known to be one of the most eligible—and one of the most sought-after—men in the music industry. “[It’s] so much better,” he said of being coupled up and embracing monogamy.

Also in the cover story, the artist said that he and Rihanna went on a cross-country road trip together in a tour bus during quarantine.

He also said Rihanna has “absolutely” inspired some of his upcoming new music — and that she offers feedback on his projects.

“I think it’s important to have somebody that you can bounce those creative juices and ideas off of. It’s just a different point of view,” he said.

The couple had sparked romance rumors since Rihanna split from her boyfriend of three years, billionaire Hassan Jameel, in January 2020.

That July, she featured A$AP Rocky in her Fenty Skin campaign, and the duo did several interviews together to promote the collaboration.

Ariana Grande has married Dalton Gomez during a ‘tiny and intimate’ ceremony over the weekend. The news was first shared by TMZ as they revealed the superstar singer and the Los Angeles-based realtor got hitched during a private ceremony.

The publication claims the ceremony took place at the Positions hitmaker’s home in Montecito.

The 27-year-old’s rep then confirmed to People: ‘They got married. It was tiny and intimate — less than 20 people. ‘The room was so happy and full of love. The couple and both families couldn’t be happier.’

Ariana and Dalton were first spotted together at Bar Louie in Northridge, California back in February.

It’s not clear how Dalton and Ariana met but they do share a mutual friend – Miley Cyrus.

The couple went public with their romance in May and then confirmed their engagement in December.

La comediante –y voz de Dory en Buscando a Nemo y Buscando a Dory– confirmó en entrevista con The Hollywood Reporter que el programa cumplirá los años de contrato que estaban estipulados según el último acuerdo y que no será renovado.

La presentadora le quitó dramatismo al anuncio, especificando que en un inicio pensó en retirarse después de la temporada 16 y que sólo una serie de impedimentos contractuales lo hicieron inviable. “Entonces, nos decidimos por tres años más y sabía que sería el último. Ese fue el plan desde el principio”, señaló.

Sin embargo, DeGeneres venía de un tumultuoso 2020 en que surgieron denuncias de racismo y acoso por parte de trabajadores del programa, apuntando tanto a su figura como a los ejecutivos del show. Tras el escándalo, en que los denunciantes detallaron un ambiente laboral tóxico, abandonaron sus funciones los principales mandamases del espacio, pero su protagonista siguió adelante.

La otrora presentadora de los Oscar no es la única figura televisiva que se despedirá de la pantalla en el corto plazo. A fines de junio, Conan O’Brien terminará su programa en la estación TBS después de 11 años, cerrando una etapa icónica para los talk shows norteamericanos.
