Halsey Is Pregnant With First Child | Entertainment Tonight

No estaba consumiendo drogas.

Justin Bieber Sends Updates About His New Album From the Studio

Justin Bieber is making a list and checking it twice, but it’s not his Christmas wishlist.

Following the holidays, the Biebs has been bunkered down in the recording studio, working on his upcoming sixth album. The pop star took to Instagram Tuesday (Jan. 26) to reveal «how this album makes me feel» and how he’s «going over track listing for the album.»

He’s already released a slew of hit singles ahead of the album’s release, including «Holy,» featuring Chance the Rapper, «Lonely» with Benny Blanco, «Monster» with Shawn Mendes, and «Anyone.» All four have become top 20 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and top 25 hits on Billboard‘s Pop Airplay chart as a result of his flood-the-zone rollout strategy on Top 40 radio.

Def Jam executive vp/head of promotion Nicki Farag confirmed to Billboard that Bieber’s singles will eventually lead into a new album, the follow-up project of Changes. He released his fifth LP on Valentine’s Day 2020, and it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Exactly one week before releasing his gospel-pop anthem «Holy,» Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun reshared his artist’s teaser announcement with the message, «#newerabegins???»

First Stream: New Music From Billie Eilish & Rosalia, Anuel AA & Ozuna, Sabrina Carpenter and More

0

This week, Billie Eilish and Rosalía combine innovative spirits, Anuel AA and Ozuna team up for a blockbuster full-length, and Sabrina Carpenter shares her side of the story. Check out all of this week’s First Stream picks below:

Billie Eilish & Rosalía, «Lo Vas a Olvidar»

On «Lo Vas a Olvidar,” two of the most daring new voices in global pop music join forces, as Billie Eilish and Rosalía — who, this time nearly a year ago, were best new artist competitors at the Grammys, an award which Eilish eventually took home — find a common ground for their disparate sounds. While Eilish sounds comfortable singing in Spanish on the song, Rosalía makes the greater sonic jump, crooning on a chorus that recalls some of Eilish’s most poignant mid-tempo tracks.

Anuel AA & Ozuna, Los Dioses

“We wanted people to feel both of us in every single song,” Ozuna told Billboard about Los Dioses, his surprise joint full-length with fellow reggaeton leader Anuel AA. “It was like, ‘Damn, let’s do things differently. Let me sing the verse and you do the chorus because people expect the opposite.’” Indeed, Los Dioses finds the two stars swapping roles and skillfully challenging each other, with songs like “Antes” demonstrating the best-case scenario of combining Anuel’s gritty flow and Ozuna’s melodic delivery.

Sabrina Carpenter, «Skin»

“Maybe you didn’t mean it / Maybe ‘blonde’ was the only rhyme,” Sabrina Carpenter sings on “Skin,” a thinly veiled response to Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License,” which exploded thanks in part to the intrigue of the rumored love triangle between Rodrigo, her High School Musical co-star Joshua Bassett, and Carpenter. Whether or not the drama intrigues you, Carpenter goes for the jugular here — “You can try to get under my, under my, under my skin, while he’s on mine,” goes the knockout lyric — and delivers her most confident single in recent memory.

Silk City feat. Ellie Goulding, «New Love»

Silk City, the moniker of Mark Ronson and Diplo’s joint project, caught lightning in a bottle in 2018 with their Dua Lipa collaboration “Electricity,” and try to replicate that win with Ellie Goulding on their latest single. “New Love” leans into the nu-disco movement in modern pop, with Goulding’s steady hand guiding the track forward until the hook opens up into a full-on dance party.

BRS Kash, Kash Only

Rabble-rousing Atlanta rapper BRS Kash has scored a viral hit with his track “Throat Baby (Go Baby),” and fully arrives this week with his debut, Kash Only. The guest stars show up to lend co-signs — “Throat Baby” gets a remix featuring DaBaby and City Girls — but the MC also sounds relaxed while riding melodies solo, as he does on the shimmering trap track “Do It.”

Jason Derulo feat. Adam Levine, «Lifestyle»

Jason Derulo and Maroon 5 both hit the pop charts for the first time in the 2000s, which means they’ve both scoring regular pop hits for over a decade. “Lifestyle” combines their top 40-friendly talents as well as offers a throwback to the pop trends of the late-‘00s, its fluttery bounce reminiscent of the Jamaican wave that Derulo rode in on with “Whatcha Say” way back when.

jxdn, «Drivers License»

Less than a week after Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drivers License” streaked to the top of the Hot 100 chart, the smash hit has already received a brilliantly executed pop-punk cover. Jaden Hossler, who broke through on alternative radio last year as jxdn, nails this re-imagining, particularly on the shout-along bridge that harnesses the anthemic energy of Rodrigo’s original.

Here’s the Real Meaning Behind Lady Gaga’s Gold Dove Brooch From Her Inauguration Outfit

0

Peace was on Lady Gaga’s mind and on her heart when she wore a giant gold dove brooch during her performance of the national anthem at the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris Wednesday (Jan. 20).

The internet mused over her Hunger Games-style outfit — a billowing, floor-length custom Schiaparelli red gown, long-sleeved black top and black leather gloves — and compared the dove brooch to Katniss Everdeen’s mockingjay pin. But the pop superstar took to Twitter to share the sentiment behind her accessory and her hope for the divided nation.

«A dove carrying an olive branch. May we all make peace with each other,» Gaga wrote after her performance.

Her dove pin complemented her gold microphone that she belted a powerful rendition of «The Star-Spangled Banner» into, shortly before the former senator and two-term VP Biden and history-making former Sen. Harris took their oaths of office.

The «Million Reasons» singer sent a prayer of peace on Tuesday during her rehearsal from the U.S. Capitol, which faced a violent attack on Jan. 6 when a mob of Trump supporters stormed the building. «I pray tomorrow will be a day of peace for all Americans. A day for love, not hatred. A day for acceptance not fear. A day for dreaming of our future joy as a country. A dream that is non-violent, a dream that provides safety for our souls. Love, from the Capitol,» she wrote above a shot of her under the Capitol Rotunda.

Camila Cabello Launches Healing Justice Project to Support Mental Wellness for Activists

0

Camila Cabello is teaming with Movement Voter Fund, a charitable nonprofit that connects donors to grassroots organizations, to launch the Healing Justice Project, which will focus on giving frontline activists access to mental health support.

The singer-songwriter, who will star in Sony’s upcoming Cinderella, donated the seed money for the project and has matched all the funds raised for it to date. (The first grant round totals nearly $250,000, and Cabello also has pledged to continue to donate and raise funds for future grant rounds.)

The initial cohort of ten organizations will receive grants to cover six months’ worth of mental healthcare for their activist workers. Each nonprofit has the discretion to spend the money on resources that address its individual needs and are “culturally competent,” meaning that providers are knowledgeable about the anti-racist framework to understand racial trauma. (A May 2018 American Psychological Association report revealed that just 5 percent of active psychologists are Hispanic and 4 percent are Black.)

The Healing Justice Project was inspired in part by conversations Cabello has had with California surgeon general Nadine Burke Harris about the toll of “toxic stress” (prolonged activation of the body’s stress response systems), and with such activists as Latinx Racial Equity Project founder Ana Perez and Jerry Tello, founder of the racial equity group National Compadres Network, about racial reconciliation. Cabello has been interested in both subjects ever since social media posts of hers from 2012 and 2013 featuring racist memes and racial slurs resurfaced in December 2019; the singer said she was “deeply sorry and ashamed” for her use of “horrible and hurtful language” and pledged to use her platform “to speak out about injustice and inequality.”

Cabello will reflect further on what she’s learned in a conversation with Tello this afternoon for the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s fifth annual National Day of Racial Healing, a program that also will feature appearances by Ta-Nehisi Coates, John Legend, Padma Lakshmi, Yara Shahidi, Storm Reid, Aloe Blacc, MILCK, all-female mariachi band Flor de Toloache, the Detroit Youth Choir and former National Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman (who tomorrow will become the youngest poet ever to perform at a U.S. presidential inauguration).

“I’ve spent a lot of time over the last couple of years, and especially this past year home during the pandemic, in constant reflection, learning and exploring the ways I have contributed to systems and beliefs that actively oppress others,” Cabello tells The Hollywood Reporter. “I’ve realized there’s so much more I can and must do to support others who are doing the work to heal our communities…. Grassroots organizers are faced with the exhaustion, emotional burden and trauma that comes with fighting against inequitable systems. Our hope is to offer access to the necessary support they may need as they continue their critical work advocating for social justice.”

In addition to amplifying each of the 10 grant recipients through virtual engagements and on her social media accounts over the next few months, Cabello also will work to raise general awareness among the public about the psychological and emotional burnout that activists face, and to normalize mental healing and wellness practices. Prolonged exposure to racial and social injustice has been linked to higher incidences of poor mental health among affected demographics. Last summer a U.S. Census Bureau survey revealed spikes in anxiety and depression among Black and Asian Americans in the wake of George Floyd’s murder and COVID-related hate crimes, and a 2018 New York Times story detailed the traumatic burden shouldered by Black Lives Matter activists, two of whom lost their lives by suicide and one by heart attack.

“In the past year, a global pandemic, an overt rise in white nationalist attacks and a deeply fractious presidential election have placed challenges on organizers and activists in ways that will be felt for the long haul,” says MVF senior director Syd Yang. “Unfortunately, they often don’t get adequate support. Our partnership with Camila Cabello on the Healing Justice Project will help fill that gap and allow us to expand our support of BIPOC organizers and raise awareness about the care that is needed to drive sustainable and just social change.”

Cabello worked with MVF to identify the Healing Justice Project’s 10 recipient groups, chosen in part because they are located in regions that have recently been at the epicenters of major racial, social or electoral justice activism, and therefore have elevated levels of exhaustion, trauma and need for mental restoration. They are:

Black Leaders Organizing Communities: BLOC coordinates and harnesses the power of collective political action to represent the needs, concerns and values of local Black communities and businesses in Milwaukee and throughout the state of Wisconsin. “We simply cannot do community engagement and organizing without being mindful of our own traumas and having conversations that allow us to center our wellness,” says BLOC founder and executive director Angela Lang. “We have to take care of ourselves before we can empower anyone else.”

Faith for Justice: The St. Louis-based coalition of Christian activists, who believe that the Bible calls Christians to serve and empower the poor and challenge oppressive systems, supports Black-led organizations and liberation campaigns and helps connect churches to them.

Freedom, Inc.: Based in Madison, the self-described Black and Southeast Asian (Hmong Americans are the largest Asian ethnic group in Wisconsin) nonprofit provides direct services, leadership development and community organizing to achieve social justice among low- to no-income communities of color in Dane County.

Living United for Change in Arizona: LUCHA has worked to improve life for working families through everything from immigration services to policy change, such as its successful 2016 campaign to pass Proposition 206, which provided up to five days of paid sick leave for all employees and raised the minimum wage to $12 in 2020. “This work is difficult and often carries a heavy emotional weight,” says LUCHA co-executive director Alejandra Gomez. “It is so important that we have the practices and resources available to sustain ourselves so we can continue fighting for a better future.”

SZA has seemingly teased new music from Lizzo

0

The ‘Good Days’ hitmaker took to Twitter to share that the ‘Truth Hurts’ singer had played her «the best song» she’s «ever heard», but she hasn’t said whether it was new material from the Grammy-winner.

SZA wrote: “Lizzo really jus played me the best song I ever heard in my life. I’m crying lmao like really. (sic)»
Lizzos last studio album was 2019’s ‘Cuz I Love You’.

Meanwhile, the ‘Juice’ singer recently admitted 2021 has already left her feeling «disappointed».

The US star confessed she already has a «broken heart», despite it being just a few weeks into the new year, but she is desperately «holding onto hope».

In a post on her Instagram account, she wrote: «2021 has already left me disappointed w a broken heart. I am holding onto hope but it’s slipping through my grip. (sic)»

Back in December, Lizzo revealed she had a health kick after November «stressed her out».

The 32-year-old singer said: «As you know, I would normally be so afraid and ashamed to post things like this online because I feel like, as a big girl, people just expect if you are doing something for health, you’re doing it for a dramatic weight loss, and that is not the case.

«In reality, November stressed me the f*** out, I drank a lot, I ate a lot of spicy things and things that f***** my stomach up. And I wanted to reverse it and get back to where I was.»

Lizzo was proud of her results after the detox.

She added: «I’m so proud of myself, I’m proud of my results, my sleep has improved, my hydration, my inner peace, my mental stability, my f****** body, my f****** skin, the whites of my eyes. Like, I feel and look like a bad bitch. And that’s it. I’m a big girl who did a smoothie detox.

«And I wanted to shared that with you guys. I got exactly what I wanted out of it, and every big girl should do whatever the f*** they want with their body … So next time you wanna come to somebody and judge them, whether they drink kale smoothies or eat McDonald’s or work out or not work out, how about you look at your own f****** self and worry about your own body. (sic)”

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have a new baby… and we know his name

0

(CNN).- Justin Timberlake and wife Jessica Biel have a new baby.

Confirming the good news in a video call with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, the singer and actor revealed that his new son’s name is Phineas.
The former NSYNC singer already has a 5-year-old son called Silas with actress Biel, whom he married in 2012.

Timberlake broke the news in an interview, which will air in full on «The Ellen DeGeneres Show» later Monday.
In a sneak preview on social media, DeGeneres recalled learning via FaceTime that the couple were expecting and said to Timberlake: «You’re a dad again, you have another little child.»
Justin Timberlake lifts up his son Silas next to his wife Jessica Biel at the Crans Montana Golf Club on August 27, 2019 in Crans-Montana, Switzerland.

Timberlake, who turns 40 this month, told DeGeneres she was «one of the first people outside of our immediate family that we told.»
When asked if he would share the baby’s name, Timberlake said: «His name is Phineas and he’s awesome. And he’s so cute. And nobody’s sleeping. But we’re thrilled. We’re thrilled and couldn’t be happier, very grateful.»
