Cardi B Celebrates Daughter Kulture’s 1st Birthday Party Amid N.Y.C. Blackout: ‘Y’all Made It Lit’

Not even a blackout could stop Cardi B from turning her daughter’s first birthday into a “lit” occasion.

The “Press” rapper and husband Offset threw their daughter Kulture Kiari a rainbow-themed event on Saturday to mark her first birthday, though the big day went awry as New York City suffered a massive power outage for several hours.

Despite the darkness, Cardi, 26, revealed the party was still a blast, and thanked her partygoers from turning a “negative situation” into a “LITUATION” on Instagram.

“The fact that I wanted my daughter[‘s] party in 42nd street instead of [New] Jersey and to my f-ing luck New York had a power outage right on that Deum area!! BITCH THE DEVIL,” she captioned the post. “But WOW how a negative situation turn into a LITUATION !!!”

The mother of one continued, “Omg I had soooooo much f- fun and my daughter as well. Thank ya sooo much everybody that came, I know my daughter won’t remember this day but when she older and have her kids this will be a good story to tell lols. I will be daydream this day for ma long.”

The star also recorded a video that explained the celebration at first went a whole hour with no lights or music.

Things turned around when power was briefly restored, and even with no air conditioning, “people [were] still dancing, having fun,” she said.

“The lights came completely back on, but then they came right back off when I was about to cut the cake,” she said. “And then they cut the lights back on and nobody wanted to leave! And it’s ‘cause of y’all, and it was such a fun party, thank you so much.”

The star shared several photos from the bash to her Instagram story, including a sweet video of Kulture, wearing a rainbow dress, in the arms of dad Offset, 27. Cardi also showed off the impressive dessert spread, which included a five-tier cake, cupcakes and more all in keeping with the rainbow theme.

At one point, partygoers could be seen lighting up the dance floor with flashlights on their phones.

Parts of New York City, mainly Manhattan’s midtown and Upper West Side, were briefly plunged into darkness Saturday night in a major power outage that affected approximately 72,000 people, according to Con Edison.

The outage, which started just before 7 p.m. and was fixed hours later, came on the 42nd anniversary of the 1977 blackout, which affected the entire city and sparked chaos.

Kulture’s birthday bash came three days after her 1st birthday on Wednesday.

Shawn Mendes Dropped Camila Cabello in Dance Rehearsal For ‘Señorita’ Music Video

It’s safe to say Shawn Mendes’ suave character in “Señiorita” took a bit of practice.

Last week, the Canadian pop star, 20, and Camila Cabello, 22, released a steamy music video for their hit new duet — and the former Fifth Harmony member just shared some hilarious behind the scenes footage from their rehearsal for the Dave Meyers-directed vid.

While practicing their moves for the sizzling dance floor scene, Mendes didn’t quite grab on to Cabello’s hand during a sequence that required him to pull the singer towards him, causing her to fall to the floor.

“remember when you DROPPED ME ?!!!!! @shawnmendes,” Cabello wrote on Twitter, sharing the behind the scenes footage with fans.

Cabello instantly started laughing when she hit the ground — asking if they got it on camera. Mendes was quick to spring to her aid and helped the singer up while asking if she’s “ok.”

“You can’t just drop Camila Cabello you can’t do that,” he jokingly said to the camera. “You can’t do that if I do that again it’s over for me.”

Luckily, (to his relief) Mendes got the move just right in the official music video, in which he and Cabello play passionate lovers.  The “Havana” singer stars as a waitress while Mendes plays a mysterious motorcycle rider.

Cabello and Mendes previously worked together on their 2015 hit “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” which appeared on Mendes’ album Handwritten. The 2015 song helped spark relationship rumors between the pair. And though their chemistry onscreen in the “Señiorita” music video is undeniable, the two have consistently confirmed that they are just friends.

Mendes and Cabello had been working on the secret project for about nine months, the 22-year-old star admitted during a live chat with fans on YouTube on Thursday, prior to the release. Despite spending a lengthy time on the video, the new song was recorded in April.

“Actually it’s been a long time coming,” she explained. “We really felt like it was the right time about two months ago.”

From one mother to another!

While attending the London premiere of The Lion King on Sunday, Meghan Markle met JAY-Z and Beyoncé, who voices Nala in the new live-action revamp of the beloved 1994 Disney film.

As she and her husband Prince Harry hugged and shared a conversation with the couple, the two mothers also spoke about baby Archie.

After telling Meghan how nice it was to meet her, Beyoncé, also 37, was heard telling the royal, “that baby is so beautiful,” in videos posted on fan accounts.

The royal couple left their 9-week-old son Archie at home for the night out, which marked Meghan’s first film premiere as a royal.

Beyoncé and her husband share three children of their own: daughter Blue Ivy, 7, and twins Sir and Rumi, 2.

Beyoncé and JAY-Z, 49, have been quite open about their adoration for Meghan in the past.

During their 2019 Brit Awards acceptance speech, the power couple accepted their prize for Best International Group via video message, recreating their music video for “APES—.” But instead of posing in front of Leonardo da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa,” they stood in front of a regal portrait of the Duchess of Sussex wearing a sparkling crown and pearl necklaces.

The pop star later gave a short explanation via Instagram about why they chose to use the photo — and offered her congratulations on Meghan’s status as a mom-to-be!

“In honor of Black History Month, we bow down to one of our Melanated Monas,” Beyoncé wrote. “Congrats on your pregnancy! We wish you so much joy.”

For the outing, Meghan wore a black Jason Wu dress with sheer sleeves and accessorized with Aquazzura heels and a Gucci clutch. Meanwhile, Harry looked dapper in a black suit with a bow tie.

The star-studded evening was held in support of Harry’s ongoing conservation work and his service on behalf of communities near endangered wildlife in Africa.

At the premiere, the royal couple met some of the cast and crew, including Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, Walt Disney Company CEO and chairman Bob Iger as well as Elton John, Pharrell Williams and the film’s director Jon Favreau before watching the film.

They will also have the chance to chat with representatives from organizations doing ground-breaking work for conservation and the environment.

Mariah Carey Hilariously Masters the Bottle Cap Challenge Using Just Her Voice

Mariah Carey’s legendary voice is pulling off more than just hit singles – it’s whisking tops off bottles in the Bottle Cap Challenge!

The five-time Grammy winner hilariously revealed the power of her impressive pipes can do more than just sing as she mastered the viral challenge on Sunday.

To complete the challenge, which kicked off late last month, participants must place a bottle on a solid surface with the cap loosely twisted shut. The goal is to untwist the cap with a spin kick without actually moving or touching the bottle with your hands.

In an Instagram video, Carey, 49, took a deep breath as she prepared her body for a spin kick.

Instead of letting her feet fly, however, the singer put a finger to her ear and let out a high-pitched note that sent the bottle cap flying right off (with the help of some special effects).

“Challenge accepted! #bottlecapchallenge,” she captioned the post.

The fun attempt was met with praise on Instagram from ex-husband Nick Cannon, who commented, “Hilarious!” and newlywed Katharine McPhee, who wrote, “Girl all the bottle caps in my room just popped off while watching this 😂😂🙌🏼🔥”

“You win hands down,” singer Rita Ora added.

Carey’s attempt at the challenge was much more successful than that of Blake Shelton, who tried and failed in a funny Twitter video to uncap his bottle of vodka last week.

Billie Eilish Declares ‘Anything Is Possible’ After Collaborating with Childhood Crush Justin Bieber

Billie Eilish is living out her childhood dream of singing with Justin Bieber!

On Thursday, Eilish, 17, and Bieber, 25, released their newest collaboration — a remixed version of the teen’s alternative/Indie song, “Bad Guy.”

While fans were thrilled with the new project, it appears Eilish may have been the most excited one of all, as she’s been a longtime fan of the “Sorry” singer.

In a post on Instagram following the song’s release, Eilish shared her excitement by posting a throwback photo of herself wearing a rainbow sequined dress while standing in front of her bedroom wall covered in posters of the pop singer.

Knowing how much the collaboration meant to Eilish, Bieber also shared the exciting news on his Instagram and Twitter by writing a sweet message to the young star.

“So proud of you @billieeilish,” he wrote beneath the same fangirl photo that Eilish had shared, before attaching their new song’s link.

In the newest version of “Bad Guy”, which was first released by Eilish in March as part of her debut studio album WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?, the 17-year-old sings the first verse like normal.

After the first chorus, Bieber comes in with new lyrics in the second verse, singing “Gold teeth, my neck, my wrist is froze/I got more ice than, than the snow/That guy, don’t act like you don’t know/That guy, so critical.”

“Tattoos on both my sleeves/Yeah, I don’t sleep, please don’t wake me/Loosen my tie up so I can breathe/It ain’t political, oh no,” he continues before the pair team up on the second chorus, which also includes new lyrics of Bieber singing about being a bad guy.

Justin Bieber and Billie Eilish

It’s no secret that Eilish has been a major Belieber for years.

During a November 2018 radio interview with KROQ’s Kevin and Bean Show, the “Ocean Eyes” singer referred to Bieber as “my first love.”

“When I was, like 12, I was not a fan of him….That was, like, my first love,” she said. “That was the person I was in love with. In my head, he was in love with me. It was, like, a relationship with a person.”

In March, Eilish told Ellen DeGeneres she still has a soft spot for the singer. “He’s amazing. He’s so sweet and, like, I feel — just, honestly, I feel for him, man. He’s been through a lot, dude.”

Billie Eilish and Justin Bieber

That same month, Eilish revealed Bieber had followed her on Instagram — and even slid into her DMs with a throwback!

“The first thing he sent was a screenshot of a DM I sent him in 2014,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “You know how when you follow somebody, you can see everything they DM’d you in the past? It, like, it felt good and it felt bad at the same time.”

But perhaps the highlight of her fandom was in April after Eilish performed at Coachella and eventually crossed paths with the “Sorry” singer. During the annual music festival, Bieber commented on her Instagram with a “Yooo check ur dm gurl.”

“So, this happened… Long and bright future ahead for you,” Bieber captioned a photo of him and Eilish standing side-by-side during Ariana Grande’s headlining set on April 14.

Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, also captured the meeting, which he shared on Instagram the following day. “Beautiful moment. She finally met the kid! @wherearetheavocados @justinbieber,” Braun wrote along with a video that showed Eilish’s shocked reaction.

Also in the footage, Bieber and Eilish shared a long hug, which Braun later called “magic” on his Instagram Story.

The feelings may be mutual: Bieber tweeted, “Proud of you @billieeilish,” following her late night set.

The day after her long-awaited encounter, Eilish alluded to her meeting with Bieber on Instagram Story with a lengthy message about her Coachella experience.

“Part of me feels like I need to post about all the things that happened yesterday… but right now I think I’m gonna keep it all as my own for now,” she wrote. “These are my memories.”

Eilish added, “Some of the most life-changing things I’ll ever experience happened over the weekend. And I don’t want a bunch of pictures to have to prove that to anybody. Understand how moved I am. I don’t know how to process and relay the love I feel for the people I feel it for. I feel full thank you.”

Rihanna Trolls Her Fans Who Want Her Album Out Now with Hilarious Meme: ‘It Was All a Lie’

Rihanna has a message for her fans who have been anticipating the release of her new album — they’re going to have to wait a bit longer.

On Thursday, Rihanna, 31, shared an Instagram video of a clip from Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, which shows Karlie Redd reading the results of a lie detector test.

“Guys, it was all a lie,” Redd says in the clip.

As for the lie Rihanna is referring to, the singer promised her loyal followers that they would be hearing new music from her this year and that’s yet to happen, so she’s trolling them by implying that they are now calling her a liar.

“Nobody: ___  Me: Album coming in 2019 Navy in July: ___” Rihanna captioned the post.

“I can’t believe I stan a liar….” one fan wrote in the comment section, to which Rihanna responded to with three laughing emojis.

Nobody: Me: Album coming in 2019 Navy in July:

A post shared by badgalriri (@badgalriri) on

“That’s it I’m unfollowing,” another fan commented.

“How is she gonna carry on doing this to us it’s been 3 bloody years,” a different user expressed.

Rihanna’s last album, titled Anti, was released in 2016.

Nonetheless, a plethora of her other fans and celebrities found the post funny.

Kevin Hart commented several laughing emojis.

Rihanna, whom Forbes recently named the world’s richest female musician, has stayed busy since releasing the critically acclaimed Anti in 2016: she launched Fenty Beauty in 2017, and unveiled her Savage x Fenty lingerie linelast year. She also recently announced the Fenty Maison line under French luxury goods conglomerate LVHM Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.

Thanks to her jam-packed schedule, the star told Sarah Paulson in Interviewmagazine that she’s lost the ability to pour all of her focus and energy into creating new music with the same speed as before.

“It’s the reason why an album isn’t being spat out like it used to,” she explained in the interview. “I used to be in the studio, only the studio, for three months straight, and an album would come out. Now, it’s like a carousel. I do fashion one day, lingerie the next, beauty the next, then music the next. It’s like having a bunch of kids and you need to take care of them all.”

Rihanna was unable to offer a timeline as for when fans can expect her ninth album, telling Paulson she “wish[ed] [she] knew” when it would be ready, but did tease that it would be “really fun.”

“It really does suck that it can’t just come out, because I’m working on a really fun one right now. I’m really happy with a lot of the material we have so far, but I am not going to put it out until it’s complete,” she said to Paulson. “It makes no sense to rush it, but I want it out.”

Last month, the singer confirmed to The New York Times’ T Style magazine that she’s hard at work on a reggae album and said fans should not expect a collaboration with Lady Gaga or Drake, contrary to rumors.

“Not anytime soon, I don’t see it happening,” she said of working again with frequent collaborator and on-again, off-again fling Drake. “Not on this album, that’s for sure.”

Cardi B Shares Rap She Wrote While Pregnant with Daughter Kulture to Celebrate Her First Birthday

«I ain’t even meet you and I love you to death,» she raps in the song, which she recorded while pregnant last year. «Performed live on TV, I hid you under my dress»

Cardi B didn’t just sing “Happy Birthday” to her daughter Kulture as she turned 1 on Wednesday.

In honor of her baby girl’s birthday, the “Press” rapper, 26, posted a rap on Instagram that she wrote while pregnant with Kulture, her first child with husband Offset, in 2018. In her post, Cardi shared that she recorded the song right before she turned in her debut album Invasion of Privacy, but it didn’t end up on the record because she was sick at the time.

“As you can hear I was maaa stuffy with a terrible cold. I couldn’t get it right no matter how many times I spit it 😩” Cardi wrote. “Even when we try to mix it u still sound stuffy. I love my baby she changed my life.”

The lyrics express Cardi’s love for her baby girl, even before she was born. Cardi posted the song with a sweet video of moments from Kulture’s first year.

“I ain’t even meet you and I love you to death,” she raps. “Performed live on TV, I hid you under my dress / We did the ruffles and fur coats a hundred different ways but / Seems like you’re getting larger every day.”

Cardi also addressed the negative attention she got on the internet while pregnant.

“Hearing public opinions about my private decisions,” she raps. “And that right there is enough to drive you crazy / Complete strangers, talking about my baby / Coming from people that never used to check me / They brought opinions but nothing off the registry.”

For her daughter’s birthday, Cardi also posted a cute photo of Kulture celebrating by smashing a cupcake into her mother’s face, surrounded by colorful cupcakes and a bouquet of balloons.

Last month, Cardi also bought Kulture an early birthday present: a $100,000 diamond-covered necklace.

“I started winning when the whole world was doubting on me,” she raps of her success in the song she posted. “Think I’mma lose with my little baby counting on me?”

Anwar Hadid and Dua Lipa Hang Out at Her Concert After Being Spotted Kissing

Their New York City outing comes just days after the supposed couple sparked dating rumors while in London

Anwar Hadid was out supporting his rumored new girl, Dua Lipa, on Wednesday night.

The model, 20, made an appearance at Amazon’s Prime Day concert in New York City to see Lipa perform alongside Taylor Swift, SZA and Becky G. He was photographed entering the venue through a back door — dressed in a white crew neck and pink camo pants — with his sister, Gigi Hadid, who also attended the concert to support her friends.

After the concert, he and Lipa were spotted hanging out together, arm in arm as they strolled in the city. The “New Rules” singer, 23 was still dressed in her concert attire — a pair of high-waisted, acid wash jeans and a strapless, black-feathered top — her hair now pulled back into a low pony-tail showing off a sparkly, statement necklace that was still in place from the show.

Their New York City outing comes just days after the supposed couple were snapped cuddling up together and sharing a kiss while attending the British Summer Time Hyde Park music festival in London.

While neither star has confirmed the relationship, according to Glamour Magazine, they were also spotted getting close at Anwar’s birthday party in Malibu a few weeks ago.

Earlier this year, Lipa split from her then-boyfriend Isaac Carew. The pair had been together on-and-off for five years.

Anwar previously dated actress Nicola Peltz, but the pair broke things off in the summer of 2018. He was also previously linked to Kendall Jenner, with a source telling PEOPLE that the models were all over each other at parties and “very, very together” during Paris Fashion Week.

His relationship with Jenner, 22, never seemed to become official as they were first linked in June of last year, after they were caught making out at a CFDA Awards afterparty in New York City, around the same time she struck up a romance with Philadelphia 76ers player, Ben Simmons.
