5 Things to Know About Rihanna’s New Beau, Hassan Jameel

Rihanna was photographed getting hot and heavy with a guy in Spain yesterday, provoking all of us to get into prime social media stalking mode to figure out who it is.

We quickly ruled out Drake (he’s been spending time with Rosalyn Gold-Onwude) and Lamorne Morris, who hilariously took to Twitter to clarify it wasn’t him either (we’re still LOL’ing). Some people assumed it was a hunky soccer stud from Europe, while others simply decided it was «just some dude.»

Well, he’s not just some dude…His name is Hassan Jameel, and you’ll probably want to know these five facts:

1. He’s 29: Her same exact age, which may make you think he’s not mature enough for her. However, his career track proves otherwise…

2. He’s a Saudi Businessman: Jameel is the deputy president and vice chairman of the family business Abdul Latif Jameel. Since 1955, the company has exclusively owned Toyota distribution rights in Saudi Arabia, making it one of the biggest companies in the world.

3. He Owns a Soccer League: It’s ironic that people thought he might be a soccer player…because he actually owns the Saudi pro soccer league, which is named the Jameel League.

4. And He’s a Billionaire: The company is worth $1.5 billion, and Jameel will one day inherit it. In fact, Forbes ranked the Jameel family as No.12 on its list of the richest Arabs in the world.

5. He Once Dated Naomi Campbell: Jameel and the supermodel were spotted watching Stevie Wonder at British Summer Time in London last year.

Meanwhile, a source told The Sun Rihanna and her new man have been spending «a lot of time together» away from the public eye, but only time will tell if these two are the real deal…

John Mayer Responds to Katy Perry Ranking Him Her Top Celebrity Lover

«I’m 39 — I remember 32. I don’t wanna do it again.»

When Katy Perry let cameras track her every move for a 96-hour YouTube live stream earlier this month, few moments broke through like James Corden convincing the pop star to rank three of her celebrity exes in bed. She reluctantly put Diplo in third place and most recent boyfriend Orlando Bloom in second, while John Mayer earned the triumphant top spot.

You might assume that Mayer celebrated the achievement, but according to his lackluster response to a Rolling Stone interview question about the ranking, it sounds like he’s taking it in stride.

«I don’t have a cool-enough thought for you,» the singer-songwriter told the reporter when asked if he cared to comment on the tabloid headlines. «I’ve hacked this game. I pay very little of the price of fame now. I get to play the music that moves me the most. I’m having the time of my life. I’m 39 — I remember 32. I don’t wanna do it again.»

The couple began dating back in 2012 and were on and off up until as recently as 2015. But the significance of Mayer not wanting to repeat the same mistakes of age 32 actually predate his relationship with Perry. Back in 2010, when Mayer was 32, was when he gave a sexually and racially charged interview to Playboy in which he called ex Jessica Simpson «sexual napalm» and said that he’s not racist but his «d–k is sort of like a white supremacist. I’ve got a Benetton heart and a f—in David Duke c–k.» So perhaps he’s (wisely) decided to stop talking about his bedroom activities at age 39.

Relive Perry’s bedroom rankings below, and read Mayer’s full RS interview — in which he talks about learning from his Dead & Company bandmates and embracing pot — here.

Lady Gaga Promotes Kindness In Schools With New PSA

Lady Gaga is a charitable queen. Not content with raising cash via her #CupOfKindness campaign with Starbucks, the pop star has teamed up with Staples for a new initiative. The company, which sells school and office supplies, has donated to $2 million to DonorsChoose.organd Born This Way Foundation to promote kindness in schools and provide students and teachers with the resources they need. Mother Monster is supporting the campaign with a PSA that finds her moonlighting as substitute teacher.

“I was actually always a very big fan of Yoko Ono and also her work with her late husband John Lennon, and when they made peace statements together, they were very simple; they would say things like, ‘Give peace a chance,’ and the press would say, ‘Well, what do you mean?’ and they’d say, ‘That’s what we mean — just give it a chance,’” Gaga says of the initiative. “We’re asking people to give kindness a chance.” Watch the PSA up top and find out more about the campaign here. They are giving away scholarships and prizes including concert tickets.

Lana Del Rey Covers «V» Magazine

Christmas came early for Lana Del Rey fans this morning (June 27) when the sad chanteuse’s V magazine cover story arrived. Photographed by Steven Klein, the pictures are quintessentially LDR in their ability to evoke old money and faded glamor. With huge hair and a riding crop in tow, she poses next to a race horse and vintage car while pink cherry blossoms glow in the background. And once you pour over the gorgeous pictures, there’s an interview between Lana and “Beautiful People, Beautiful Problems” collaborator Stevie Nicks waiting for you!

The Fleetwood Mac legend missed her calling as a journalist. She brings up the fact that Lana has gone from being Born To Die to having a Lust For Life in the space of four albums. “Yeah, they’re complete opposites, and it’s funny because when I chose the title, I didn’t think about it right away,” the “Love” diva admits. “It was the title of the first song I wrote for this record. But there are so many things that have gotten me to the point that I’m at now. One of them is just time.”

“I just wanted to chronicle how I was feeling honestly, in the moment, for each record. So, I had a lot of stories that I wanted to tell that I hadn’t told yet up until this point. And now, through the last four records, I got out a lot of those stories and a lot of those feelings, and for the first time, I’ve caught myself up to real time. And now, I’m at this place where I feel like I’m really present, and when I’m reading the news, I’m really reading it, whereas before I was a little bit in my own head.”

Lana was then asked to pick a favorite song on the album and settled on something surprising. “I think one of my favorite tracks on the record is called ‘Yosemite,’” she reveals. “The chorus is [begins to sing] ‘We did it for fun, we did it for free, I did it for you, you did it for me, we did it for the right reasons.’” But that’s not all. V magazine also shared an exclusive snippet of “Cherry” (below), which feels like something of a throwback to Ultraviolence in its raw beauty.

Bruno Mars “Versace On The Floor” Gets A David Guetta Remix

Bruno Mars is hoping to land his third top 10 single in a row with “Versace On The Floor.” The sexy ballad is slowly making its mark on radio and has already racked up more than 130 million streams on Spotify. It will get another burst of momentum from a new remix, which David Guetta debuted in Ibiza last night (June 26). “I’m super proud that I had the opportunity to work with Bruno Mars on ‘Versace on the Floor,’” he says of the slinky overhaul. “It is more than a remix; it is a collaboration and combination of different worlds together.”

“My goal was to make it more dance and DJ friendly, but still respect the music that he came with, and keep the song and his voice in tact because it’s so beautiful. I hoped to create something that would not just be for one community, just like Bruno makes quality music that speaks to a wide audience.” It’s fair to say that the French producer achieved that. He shows admirable restraint on the remix, remaining faithful to the original’s retro charm while tinkering with the sound here and there to make it more current. Listen below.

The Chainsmokers Debut “Young” Lyric Video

The Chainsmokers take a trip down memory lane and revisit childhood memories in the lyric video for “Young.” EDM’s top duo recently announced that they are releasing the heartfelt “Honest” as their next official single, but it seems they have another track off their debut LP to promote first. “Don’t worry, my love, we’re learning to love, but it’s hard when you’re young,” Drew Taggart croons over the alt-influenced productions of Alex Pall.

The visual makes use of baby photos and footage from earlier performances contrasted with moments captured on their recently completed Memories Do Not Open Tour. As the track fades out, a collage of the photos transforms into a black and white photo of the pair looking back on their pasts. The lyric video was a collaboration with filmmaker and photographer Rory Kramer, who sourced the archived footage and photos from Alex and Drew’s family and friends.

They thanked him for his work on the project in a series of tweets. The Chainsmokers also reflected on how far they’ve come in their career and took the opportunity to thank anyone involved in their development. “We can’t watch this video and not help but think how grateful we are for our lives and everyone who has helped steer us along this journey,” Alex and Drew said. Check out the nostalgia-inducing video below and see if you can identify who is who in some embarrassing childhood pics.

Calvin Harris, Katy Perry, Pharrell & Big Sean’s Trippy “Feels” Video

After grabbing our attention with a series of Instagram posts, Calvin Harris rolls out his “Feels” visual tonight (June 26). It’s the first track from his Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 LP (due June 30) to get the video treatment, which explains the elaborate set-up. The clip, which was directed by Emil Nava, begins with Pharrell Williams chilling in a row boat, while the Scottish DJ plays bass in the background. Katy Perry then takes us back to the Prism era with a long, flowing wig and floral dress. (Think of it as “Roar” on acid).

Last but not least is Big Sean, who delivers his verse from the comfort of a folding chair. The whole video is treated with a psychedelic filter and artificial color scheme, which adds to the disorienting effect. I guess this means “Feels” is going to be pushed as a proper single. While the melodic groove doesn’t scream hit in the way “This Is What You Came For” did, for example, it’s definitely a grower and has got off to a good start on Spotify racking up 20 million streams in two weeks.

Shirtless Diplo, Sizzling Anitta: Welcome To Major Lazer’s Sexy “Sua Cara” video

“Sua Cara” is the summery, exotic highlight of Major Lazer’s Know No Better EP and, quite clearly, their next single. Featuring Anitta (the star of Iggy Azalea’s“Switch”) and Pabllo Vittar (who is hailed as Brazil’s number one drag queen), the catchy banger is getting a big-budget video set in the Sahara Desert. The collaborators have been sharing stills from the shoot on social media and they are a sight to behold. Diplo kindly removes his shirt in several pics, while the vocalists dress in sexy harem garb.

2017 is shaping up to be another breakout year for Major Lazer with a string of club-ready singles (“Run Up” and “Know No Better”) from upcoming 4th LP, Music Is The Weapon. The album already boasts one breakout smash in the form of last year’s inescapable “Cold Water,” but the trio will be looking to add to that tally by the end of the summer. Click through the pics from their “Sua Cara” video shoot up top and listen to the sultry anthem below.
